Trump reveals big news about son Barron’s upcoming plans, promises more details ‘soon’

The former president promised his youngest son’s future plans would be confirmed “soon” amid questions about where Barron Trump would be seeking his higher education.

Amid questions about economic and foreign policies, former President Donald Trump was offered his latest opportunity to beam as a proud father. While speaking with the New York Post, the GOP leader was willing to reveal only so much as he noted Barron would be returning to the Empire State.

“He’s all set in a certain school that’s very good,” said Trump when asked, “Has he decided where he’s gonna go to school; university?”

Maintaining his silence on specifics until an official announcement was made, the smiling president suggested he’d be willing to reveal where off the record when he was questioned if the school was the Big Apple’s own New York University.

“He’s always been a very good student, he’s smart,” noted Trump.

The report came as Trump’s granddaughter, Kai Trump, had announced she had committed to attend the University of Miami as she entered her junior year at the prestigious Benjamin School.

“I am beyond excited to announce my verbal commitment to the University of Miami. I would like to thank my mom, Vanessa, and my dad, Don, for always supporting me through my journey,” she wrote and went on before thanking the rest of her family and her coaches, “I would also like to thank my great team for getting me to this point. I would like to thank my Grandpa for giving me access to great courses and tremendous support.”

Trump had previously teased about his youngest son’s future in the spring when he had looked forward to attending his high school graduation from West Palm Beach, Florida’s Oxbridge Academy. Before the president was granted the time to attend, New York Judge Juan Merchan had raised doubt on the matter amid the fraud trial as he’d initially been unwilling to commit to the scheduled demand.

After being convicted in the case brought by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, the GOP leader is currently slated to have a sentencing hearing on Sept. 18.

As for the youngest son of Trump, between his high school graduation and his upcoming start as an undergraduate, Barron made his debut appearance at a rally for his father in the lead-up to the Republican National Convention.

The event at Trump National Doral Golf Club outside Miami, Florida offered the president a chance to celebrate his children as, after addressing Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump, he called out Barron and said, “A very young man who is now going to college — got into every college he wanted to and he made his choice. And he’s a very good guy.”

“That’s the first time he’s done it. That’s the first time, right?” said Trump as the crowd cheered. “You’re pretty popular. He might be more popular than Don and Eric. We gotta talk about that.”

“Welcome to the scene, Barron… had such a nice, easy life,” added the president, “now it’s a little bit changed.”
