Dark Brandon got a sound spanking from former President Donald Trump on Wednesday.
In a botched attempt to appear biting, President Biden appeared Monday on “Late Night with Seth Meyers,” and, amid genuine concerns for his cognitive decline — concerns fueled by the finding of his own Department of Justice — claimed that Trump confused former White House Director of Strategic Communications Mercedes Schlapp for his wife, former First Lady Melania Trump.
Biden’s snark may have scored more than a giggle had his train of thought not derailed mid-sentence on live television.
Meyers noted that Biden’s advancing age, especially in light of Special Counsel Hur’s damning report, is “a real concern for American voters.”
“How do you address that concern going forward as you come up to the 2024 election?”
Biden snapped back, “Take a look at the other guy. He is about as old as I am, but he can’t remember his wife’s name.”
Had he taken the laugh and moved on, Biden may have scored some points.
But that’s not what the president did.
After stating that Trump “wants to take us back” and referencing the overturning of Roe v. Wade, Biden went off-script, dug into a word salad, and trailed off, seemingly forgetting his provably false point.
“Every single thing we’ve done–and I think we’ve gotten some good things done–” Biden rambled. “They told us we couldn’t get ’em done ’cause things were so divided and, uh, but I think everything’s everything we’ve gotten done. He’s just friendly state, he wants to do away with, if he gets elected. And I really think his views on where to take America are older than… anyway.”
Huh?

To be clear, even the liberal Snopes said Biden’s pants were on fire, declaring, “No, Trump Did Not Refer To His Wife Melania as ‘Mercedes’ at CPAC 2024.”
Biden’s blatant mischaracterization of the CPAC event prompted Trump to release a two-minute video tirade against the “basket case” of a president.
“The Radical Left Democrats are at it again…” the GOP frontrunner stated on Truth Social.
“They’re constantly making up stories about me because their candidate is a mental and physical basket case,” Trump said. “There’s never been anything like it.”
“He’s also the worst president in the history of our country,” he noted. “He went on a very poorly rated show last night [sic] and he talked about Donald Trump and his wife. I don’t know the name of my wife.”
Trump recalled the events as they really occurred.
“He was referring to the fact that, at CPAC, where I had a sold-out speech, the biggest audience they’ve had in years, I think maybe ever, I made the statement that Melania was very popular because when I mentioned her name, the audience went wild,” he explained. “I then looked at the two people – man and wife – Matt and Mercedes Schlapp and I said, ‘Wow! They really like the First Lady. So, this got taken as the fact that I thought Mercedes was the First Lady.”
“Has nothing to do with that,” he continued. “These people are really dishonest. They are absolutely something. They have a horrible candidate who’s a horrible president! They make up things constantly.”
The problem with the Democrats, Trump suggested, is, they have no sense of humor.
“You take a look at when I use ‘Barack Hussein Obama,’ and I interject him into where it’s supposed to be ‘Biden,’ and I do it purposely for comedic reasons and for sarcasm because a lot of people say that Obama is running the country, not Biden because he’s sleeping all the time,’ he said. ‘They say, ‘oh, I don’t know the name of the president.'”
“Or when I imitate this guy getting off the stage, what they do is they say, ‘Oh, he had trouble getting off the stage,'” he added. “I have no trouble getting up or getting off a stage. Anybody that watches me and what I do at rallies would say, ‘Wow, that’s amazing. He can go two hours without a teleprompter not making even a little mistake.’ Very few people, maybe almost nobody, can do what I do.”
“So, here’s the story,” Trump told American voters. “The disinformation of the Democrats is unbelievable. They do it because they have a horrible candidate.
“Don’t associate me with the mental midget that you portray because I wanna tell you, he should not be leading this country!”
