President Donald Trump warned that Netflix will “pay the consequences” if a former Obama official is not removed from its board.
The president called on the media company to fire the “racist” and “Trump deranged” former U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, Susan Rice, in a Truth Social post following her remarks vowing retribution against those supporting Trump.
“Netflix should fire racist, Trump Deranged Susan Rice, IMMEDIATELY, or pay the consequences,” he wrote.

”She’s got no talent or skills – Purely a political hack! HER POWER IS GONE, AND WILL NEVER BE BACK. How much is she being paid, and for what???“ Trump continued, eviscerating the former national security adviser.
Last week, Rice threatened corporate America, which had bowed to Republican pressure, warning that “it’s not going to end well for them.”
“When it comes to the elites, you know, the corporate interests, the law firms, the universities, the media … it’s not going to end well for them, for those that decided that they would act in their perceived very narrow self-interest, which I would underscore, is very short-term self-interest, and, you know, take a knee to Trump,” she told former U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara on his podcast.

“If these corporations think that the Democrats when they come back in power are going to, you know, play by the old rules and [say] ‘Never mind, we’ll forgive you for all the people you fired, all the policies and principles you violated, all the laws you’ve skirted,” said Rice, who served as President Joe Biden’s domestic policy chief.
“I think they’ve got another thing coming … they’re going to be surprised. Democrats have had a bellyful, and we’re not going to play by, you know, the old set of rules,” she warned.
Rice rejoined the Netflix board in 2023 after leaving the Biden administration. She had previously served on the board from 2018 to 2021.
Trump’s Department of Justice is reviewing Netflix’s proposed takeover of Warner Bros. Discovery in a $72 billion deal. Ted Sarandos, the co-CEO of Netflix, dismissed the president’s remarks in an interview with the BBC’s Today program.
“This is a business deal. It’s not a political deal,” he said, referring to the takeover deal. “This deal is run by the Department of Justice in the US, and regulators throughout Europe and around the world.”
“He likes to do a lot of things on social media,” he added when asked about Trump.
