President Donald Trump’s granddaughter shared an endearing behind-the-scenes look as the two enjoyed a day of their favorite activity.
Kai Trump posted scenes from a private golf session with her “Grandpa,” pulling the curtain back on their special bond as they played and spoke about many topics. The 18-year-old’s new video has already racked up over 1.6 million views on YouTube.
“I had an amazing time filming with my Grandpa to kick off my new series called 1 on 1 with Kai. In the video, everyone gets to see the bond we have, especially on the golf course,” she captioned the hour-long video. “This is my favorite video I have filmed so far, and it holds a lot of meaning to me. I hope you enjoy this very special video.”
The president, sporting a “Make America Great Again” hat, is seen driving the golf cart and playing alongside Kai at Trump International in Washington, D.C.
Kai who is the eldest daughter of Donald Trump Jr. and ex-wife Vanessa Haydon. The recent high school graduate and the eldest granddaughter of the president gave a “verbal commitment to the University of Miami” this summer. In the video, she complimented her grandfather’s golfing, and he also praised her swing.
She explained the cameras she had set up on the golf cart as the two rode through the course, and at one point, she surprised him with a pointed question about his dreams.
“Is there a dream that you’re still trying to chase? Or have you reached all your dreams?” Kai asked.

“You’re asking questions like you’re a television company. I thought I was just going to come out and play a round of golf with you,” the president joked in response.
He revealed that a dream was to be president and, now that he has accomplished that, the dream is to be a “great president.”
“I think you’re doing a pretty good job,” Kai told him.
Many viewers agreed, and comments included those who appreciated seeing the special relationship between the two Trumps.
One YouTube comment noted, “It’s so cool to see the president as just ‘grandpa’ here.”
“I love this so much I’m actually a little choked up!!” another shared.
“Kai has done something rarely seen in human history, taking a historical figure and sharing a version of him that otherwise would be impossible to see or experience,” one comment stated, adding, “she also seems beyond her years aware of the significance of what she is doing here – just amazing.”
