Tucker asks J.D. Vance if a Trump victory would be accepted: ‘That’s what worries me’

Ohio Sen. J.D. Vance expressed “what worries me” when asked about a particular entity moving to obstruct former President Donald Trump should he return to the White House.

“The biggest threat to democracy is…”

This week, commentator Tucker Carlson released an interview with the Republican vice presidential nominee covering a wide range of topics, including touching on the lengths establishment forces were willing to go to maintain power — potentially using the military.

Early in the conversation, Vance maintained his confidence that Trump would be victorious either via a prompt decision on Election Night or, less likely, later on with a much closer outcome.

“And you think they’ll accept that?” the assertion prompted Carlson to interject.

“Well, yeah, it’s a good question, right?” said Vance, “Well I think that, look, there’s only so much they can do.”

The Ohio lawmaker went on to add, “They’ve already sort of marshaled the ballot harvesting operation, which, of course, is the story of 2020. It’s not like, you know, it’s not ballot machines were hacked into. The story of 2020 is that they really, you know, turned on this ballot harvesting machine and they used, of course, Big Tech to silence stories that were negative about Joe Biden. They’re certainly gonna do that again.”

“I just don’t see any evidence that these people are like controlling the puppet strings and they’re gonna do everything that they can. They are going to do everything that they can, but it’s not that much,” added Vance who suggested there was more “incompetence” at play than “evil genius.”

“So right now, yeah, I think Donald Trump’s going to be the next president,” he told Carlson.

“And if he gets elected president, once again, do you think they will accept that? Are you concerned? They’ve spent the last ten years taking full control of the U.S. military. Which is, I mean, I’m sorry to even talk like that, but they think that way so it’s worth saying it,” prompted Carlson as the senator agreed.

“So that’s what worries me. So you hear all this talk about threats to democracy, right? And the biggest threat to democracy in this country is not like Donald Trump using legal maneuvers to challenge the 2020 election. The biggest threat to democracy is that the bureaucracy in Washington, D.C. is fundamentally misaligned with at least half the country, right?” suggested the congressman.

“So, what I worry less about is like, ‘Are they gonna let Trump win?’ Well, it’s not going to be easy, but I actually do sitting here right now — maybe I’m wrong — but I do feel very confident that Trump’s going to be elected president; that he will be president. I think the real fight is gonna be when he becomes president and he tries to do things,” said Vance. “They’re going to take him down and try to take him down in a very big way.”

It was then that the senator proposed the biggest threats to Trump during a second administration would likely be the demonization of attempts to deport a speculated 25 million illegal aliens as “fascism” and the negative impact of interest rates and the bond market.

In support of his confidence about the ultimate outcome of the election, Vance argued that even Vice President Kamala Harris’ campaign numbers “very clearly show that she’s not doing well in the states she needs to win, but a lot can change and we have to get out the vote.”
