Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard called out Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on X, accusing him of trying to pit the U.S. against Russia “for years now.”
Following President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance’s meeting with Zelenskyy, Gabbard took to social media to celebrate the American administration’s “unwavering leadership in standing up for the interests of the American people, and peace.”
Look:
Thank you @realDonaldTrump for your unwavering leadership in standing up for the interests of the American people, and peace. What you said is absolutely true: Zelensky has been trying to drag the United States into a nuclear war with Russia/WW3 for years now, and no one has…

“Thank you [Trump] for your unwavering leadership in standing up for the interests of the American people, and peace. What you said is absolutely true: Zelensky has been trying to drag the United States into a nuclear war with Russia/WW3 for years now, and no one has called him on it. Thank you, Vice President [Vance] for speaking out so forcefully and clearly, about the necessity of diplomacy,” she wrote.
This comes after Zelenskyy shockingly rejected the deal that the United States had been working on, claiming that it didn’t contain enough security assurances for Ukraine.
As BizPac Review previously reported, Zelenskyy claimed that without “substantial guarantees,” the agreement America put forward would just “reward the aggressor,” Russia.
“Zelenskyy had warned repeatedly ahead of this trip to Washington, D.C., that, in order to reach a mineral agreement, Kyiv needed these security assurances,” reported Fox News Digital. “Even so, he angered Trump and Vance by rejecting the deal, the source said.”
A Ukrainian defense adviser contended to the outlet, “We cannot just sign an…agreement without any substantial guarantees.”
“It’s not going to work. It’s just going to reward the aggressor,” the adviser added.
Many have attempted to blame Trump and Vance for the meeting not going smoothly, but some on X agreed with Gabbard’s take on events:
Exactly. Ukraine is asking the US for help, not the other way around. The country cannot survive without US aid. How dumb is Zelinskyy?! I think he is worried about what would happen to him once the war is over.

How many phone calls have occurred between @ZelenskyyUa and @JoeBiden over the past few weeks? Zelenskyy must be upset that any deals he might have made with Biden are fading away. Poor Voldy! : (

Nice to have officials just be honest on this topic. This has been true the whole time. Both parties shoveled money at them.

Zelenskyy doesn’t trust Putin to hold up his end of any deal.
Fair, based on history.
However, there is not a better partner than the US to make Putin respect the terms of any agreement.
Zelenskyy doesn’t seem to get this.
