Two illegals arrested in Miami for molesting a minor on a cruise ship, one is HIV positive

Two illegal aliens were arrested last Friday in Miami for allegedly sexually assaulting a 14-year-old boy on a Royal Caribbean cruise ship.

The assault occurred last Thursday in the ship’s sauna, where illegal aliens Ricardo Daniel Mondragon Leal, 37, and Jose Juan Prudencio Diaz, 36, cornered a 14-year-old boy and then forced themselves upon him.

“[T]he victim told police both suspects began to pleasure themselves in front of him,” according to local station WTVJ. “At one point … Diaz and Leal began to touch the victim and forced him to touch them.”

“Leal then forced the victim to perform a sex act on him and molested the victim,” the report from WTVJ continues.

All this happened without Diaz ever revealing that he’s HIV+.

Both illegal aliens were arrested at South Florida’s PortMiami after the cruise ended on Friday. A day later, they were denied bond.

“The defendant, in this case, acting in concert with another defendant, they were both on a cruise,” a prosecutor said in court. “This shows that they tried to target a specific minor, and this could be done again.”

According to the Miami Herald, Diaz faces a charge of lewd and lascivious exhibition by an adult on a minor under 16, in addition to a charge for not revealing his HIV status. Leal, meanwhile, faces the same lewd/lascivious exhibition charge, in addition to a lewd and lascivious molestation on a child aged 12 to 16 charge.

Because of their status as illegal aliens, both men have also had immigration holds placed on them.

“We take these allegations very seriously and immediately notified local law enforcement,” a Royal Caribbean Group spokesperson told the Herald. “As this is an ongoing investigation, we have nothing further to share at this time.”

Both men are reportedly from Mexico, where they lived together at the same address.

All this comes about a month after Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis signed a package of bills cracking down on illegal migration in his state.

“The bills increase penalties for illegal immigrants who commit crimes and make entering the state without legal status a crime in and of itself, carrying a mandatory nine-month jail sentence,” as reported by the Tallahassee Democrat.

The bills also mandated a death sentence for illegal aliens convicted of capital crimes like first-degree murder.

All this also comes days after border czar Tom Homan and Gov. DeSantis appeared at a sit-down at the New College of Florida to talk about the Trump administration’s illegal migration crackdown.

“They’re not going to stop us,” Homan said regarding the throngs of liberal judges who’ve been trying to slow the administration’s agenda, as reported by NPR affiliate WUSF.

“The district court judge isn’t going to stop us from making this country safe again. We’re going to keep moving forward,” he added.

He continued by praising the administration for deporting so many illegals, but stressing that even more is needed.

“We arrested three times more in one month than what [former President] Joe Biden did in the same months, but that’s not enough,” he said. “We need to do 10 times more because Biden wasn’t doing squat. I’m happy, but I’m not satisfied.”

DeSantis, meanwhile, said that while targeting illegal aliens who are criminals is an obvious priority, immigration authorities should nevertheless also be targeting non-criminals.

“You cannot say that people who are here illegally are scot-free up and until the time they actually commit a separate criminal offense,” he said. “I want to get them out before they commit an offense against someone,” said DeSantis.”
