Vile Walz sinks to new low, invokes Anne Frank to liken ICE to Nazis – crickets from ADL

Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz attacked President Donald Trump’s immigration enforcement by making a disturbing reference to Nazis arresting Anne Frank during World War II.

In a speech on Sunday, the Democrat railed against immigration raids in his state amid the backdrop of a protester being shot by Border Patrol agents in Minneapolis, declaring that children of illegal aliens in his state are afraid to go to school.

“Allow our children to go back to school. We have got children in Minnesota hiding in their houses, afraid to go outside,” Walz said. “Many of us grew up reading that story of Anne Frank. Somebody’s going to write that children’s story about Minnesota.”

Evidently, Walz, who has previously referred to ICE as Trump’s “modern-day Gestapo,” is not aware of the facts, including that Anne Frank was a German citizen, not a foreign outsider, when Jews were stripped of their rights under Hitler. And despite the left’s caterwauling, the Trump administration is not sending any immigrants to concentration camps.

Not surprisingly, there appeared to be no criticism from the Anti-Defamation League over Walz’s remarks.

“You’re allowed to decide at any point that you are not with this anymore,” Walz told Trump supporters, urging them to “jump ship” and join Democrats as they fan the flames of anti-ICE protests.

“If you voted for the administration, heck even if you thought Operation Metro Surge was a good idea and sounded like something we could do about it a month ago, you’re still allowed to look at what’s happening here in Minnesota and say this isn’t what I wanted or what I want,” the failed Democratic nominee for vice president added.

The Department of Homeland Security has noted the alarming increase in assaults on ICE officers, thanks to violent rhetoric from Democrats like Walz.

“The hateful rhetoric and resistance against men and women who are simply trying to do their jobs must end. Federal law enforcement officers are facing a more than 1,300% increase in assaults against them as they put their lives on the line to arrest criminals and lawbreakers,” DHS said in a statement earlier this month.
