Police have been so thoroughly demonized by the left that in Democrat-run cities like Chicago and New York, the criminal element thinks nothing of boldly attacking cops when the odds are in their favor.
With police departments across America woefully understaffed as a result of a rash of retirements and dismal recruiting efforts, this being perhaps the final installment — courtesy of the exploitation of the death of junkie George Floyd — in a longstanding campaign that began in earnest under former President Barack Obama, when a police officer in Ferguson, Missouri was vilified by Democrats and the corporate media after he was forced to use deadly force to stop a violent attack from 18-year-old Michael Brown, who outweighed him by 100 lbs.
The latest example of the lawlessness that now defines so many American cities was seen in Chicago recently when a police patrol vehicle came under attack as the officer was reportedly responding to an incident of illegal street racing.

As seen in video of the scene, the violent mob rejoices as the patrol car retreats, intensifying their attacks. As the officer reaches a line of other police vehicles they all begin falling back.
In effect, police have been rendered impotent by politicians and are no longer permitted to appropriately respond to lawless behavior like this — which begets more of the same.
