Conservative commentator Matt Walsh warned in a tweet posted Sunday morning that the “GOP establishment” is bending the knee to Anheuser-Busch, the parent company of Bud Light.
“The GOP establishment is circling the wagons around Anheuser Busch. These people don’t have any interest in pushing back against corporate. In fact, they want to help normalize both. This is grassroots conservatism vs the establishment, as always,” he wrote.

As seen above, the tweet linked to a story from The Daily Beast, a far-left outlet.
Published a day earlier, the story revealed that the National Republican Congressional Committee had “quietly deleted a fundraising page Saturday that took aim at one of its largest donors … Anheuser-Busch.”
The fundraising page was reportedly published Saturday morning. The NRCC promoted it in a since-deleted tweet that mentioned Dylan Mulvaney by name. Mulvaney is, as previously reported, the “transgender woman” who’s now a Bud Light spokesperson.
“Thanks to Dylan Mulvaney, we can all finally admit that Bud Light tastes like water. With our new koozie’s, you can make sure no one confuses Bud Light with real beer ever again,” the tweet read.
The premise of the tweet was that anyone who donated would receive a custom drink koozie.

According to The Daily Beast, shortly after the tweet was posted around 9:30 am Saturday morning, it was deleted.
Sometime later Saturday afternoon, the NRCC deleted the corresponding fundraising page as well.
“This Beer Identifies as a Water’ Koozie Claim your LIMITED-EDITION Koozie!” the since-deleted page reportedly read.
“Woke companies making you feel like drinking? Then this limited-edition koozie is perfect for you! Just chip in $10 to CLAIM YOUR LIMITED-EDITION KOOZIE!” it continued.
The page now reportedly redirects to a general “Stand with House Republicans” fundraising page.
An NRCC spokesperson didn’t respond to The Daily Beast’s request for comment. Nor did anyone at Anheuser-Busch, for that matter.
For its part, The Daily Beast, a far-left site, believes the NRCC’s abrupt decision to nix the ad is rooted in money.
“The decision to reverse course is almost certainly a reaction to the reality that the parent company behind Bud Light is a major donor to the group. … In the 2022 cycle alone, Anheuser-Busch and its employees gave the NRCC $464,505,” the site argues.
An anonymous GOP operative who spoke with the outlet seemed to agree.
“I assume they backtracked because they realized they were biting the hand that feeds them, and as soon as word gets around about that, why would anyone else give them big money in the future?” the Republican operative told The Daily Beast Saturday afternoon,” they said.
“Bud Light has some idiots in their marketing department who thought this was a good idea. The NRCC has some idiots in their marketing department that thought their response was a good idea. Maybe the ultimate lesson here is to stop letting the marketing geniuses make decisions and run things,” they added.
Conservatives on Twitter were not pleased by all this:
Weak and spineless just like in Tennessee. Take out their private public partnership, DO NOT LET UP. Take out Anheuser Busch burn it to the ground.

If the establishment GOP actually cared about exercising power it would be one thing. They only care about securing their status within the shifting elite hierarchy.

Yep, just like the Democrats the establishment GOP is beholden to corporate interests. Two sides of the same coin. Both concerned with lining their pockets to fund their campaigns, both don’t give a damn about Americans.

If they would just learn to circle the wagons when our actual people are get dog piled it would be great. Unless they have done something extremely egregious that deserves shunning. But the GOP turns it’s back on the slightest whiff of democratic scrutiny.
Always be fractured.

All this comes shortly after Donald Trump Jr. posted a stunning video last Thursday calling for conservatives to end their boycott of Bud Light.
“So here’s the deal: Anheuser-Busch, totally s–t the bed with this Dylan Mulvaney thing. I’m not, though, for destroying an American and iconic company for something like this,” he said.
“When I actually look into it, I’m not gonna blame the whole company for the inaction or the stupidity of someone in a marketing campaign that got woke as hell. The company itself doesn’t participate in the same leftist nonsense as the other big conglomerates,” he added.
