‘We became animals’: Captured Hamas terrorist gives up commanders’ instructions on ‘suicide mission’

Before Hamas terrorists descended on Israel on Oct. 7, they were instructed by their commanders to “behead Israelis and cut their feet,” according to an Israeli interrogation video obtained and reviewed by Fox News.

The video, reports Fox News foreign correspondent Trey Yingst, a captured Hamas militant is seen, wearing a white jumpsuit, sitting across from an Israeli interrogator who is “asking him questions.”

The militant, who is in his 20s, was captured outside of Alumim, a small kibbutz that borders Gaza.

He details for the interrogator the “preparation and coordination” of the savage attack on Israel, noting that Hamas used a Telegram channel to communicate in real time about the massacre, “sending videos as they got them, as they were killing civilians in their homes,” Yingst says.

Asked about Islam, the militant admits to the interrogator that the religion instructs followers not to kill women, children, or the elderly, but Hamas commanders told their terrorist troops, “they could do whatever they felt like doing.”

The commanders called the attack on Israel a “suicide mission” and told the militants “they should not plan on coming back.”

“He said commanders told them to step on the heads of civilians, to behead them, and to do whatever they felt like,” according to Yingst.

Asked about comparisons between Hamas and ISIS, the captured man agreed that the comparisons are warranted.

“We burned, we slaughtered, and we beheaded people,” he reportedly replied.

“We became animals,” the militant stated. “Things that humans do not do.”

After they killed the civilians, the acts they committed on their bodies were so “graphic,” Yingst was unable to share them with viewers.

“It gives you a sense of what exactly took place,” Yingst said. “More than 1,400 Israelis, slaughtered at the hands of Hamas militants who entered southern Israel on October 7th, starting this conflict that’s erupted behind us.”

“We do know… they were given coordinated, specific plans to come into Israel and put all beliefs aside with one goal in mind, to inflict as much terror on the civilian population here as possible.”

DailyMail.com, meanwhile, talked to a woman identified only as “Shari,” who works in the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) Rabbinate corps.

It is Shari’s grim job to clean the bodies of Hamas’s victims as best as she can in preparation for burial.

“We wash the bodies and prepare them for burial. We try to bring them dignity in death,” she said. “I heard stories about Auschwitz as a child growing up in New Jersey. But what I have seen here with my own eyes is worse than the Holocaust.”

“My mother and my grandmother are Holocaust survivors,” she revealed. “They were the only members of the family to come out of Auschwitz alive after they were taken from their homes in Czechoslovakia. All of her brothers and sisters and uncles and aunts were murdered there.”

The brutality she has encountered in Israel has shocked her.

“I am a mother from New Jersey. I moved to Israel 20 years ago. I’m a normal person,” she said. “I never expected to be confronted by what I have seen.”

And what she has seen is the stuff of nightmares.

“What these barbarians did to these people is beyond words,” she said. “There is evidence of mass rape so brutal that they broke their victims’ pelvis – women, grandmothers, children.”

“People whose heads have been cut off. Women standing in their night dresses woken up and shot. Faces blasted off. Heads smashed and their brains spilling out,” she recalled. “Women and children burned to charcoal. Bodies murdered with their hands tied behind their backs.”

“We see evidence of torture and savagery,” said Colonel Rabbi Haim Weisberg. “We have babies with their heads cut off. Bodies without hands, without legs, without genitals.”

“The traditional way would be for a child to say Kaddish [the burial prayer] for his parents. But here, we have entire families that no one’s going to be able to say Kaddish [the burial prayer] for them,” he said. “So that is why we must eliminate the terrorists, destroy Hamas.”
