Once again, President Biden and First Lady Jill Biden are jetting off to the Caribbean to ring in the New Year as Americans continue to struggle.
As you’ll recall, last year, the Bidens boogied off to St. Croix in the U.S. Virgin Islands and rang in 2023 as a winter storm buried upstate New York, killing more than two dozen people in Buffalo alone.

It must have been a great trip, because they’re doing it again, this time leaving behind a nation that is being crippled by an epic year-end surge of illegal migrants crossing over the president’s wide-open border with Mexico.
“The commander in chief will be touching down in St. Croix Wednesday afternoon, the White House announced Saturday,” the New York Post reports. “It is not clear how long Biden, 81, will spend basking in the Caribbean sun, or where he will be staying.”
It’ll be tough for the Big Guy to beat last year’s accommodations.
For the start of 2023, the Biden family “stayed free of charge at the multimillion-dollar beachfront villa of wealthy donors Bill and Connie Neville — who gave more than $10,000 to Biden’s 2020 campaign and were among the select group admitted to the president’s first White House state dinner,” according to The Post.
As Buffalo grieved, the Bidens “enjoyed the three-bedroom manse — which features an in-ground pool, lush landscaping and sweeping views of the piercing blue ocean.”
To be fair, fleeing to the Caribbean must sound a lot better than facing the fact that he’s going to be heading into the New Year with what The Post describes as “a lower approval rating than any of his seven predecessors at a similar point in their first term.”
“Just 39% of Americans like his job performance, according to a new poll,” the outlet reports.
Driving the dismal numbers is the migrant disaster that continues to unfold.
As BizPac Review reported, the recent surge in migrant crossings forced the closure of two freight rail crossings — Texas bridges in El Paso and Eagle Pass — along the U.S. border with Mexico, so Customs and Border Protection (CBP) could “redirect personnel to assist the U.S. Border Patrol with taking migrants into custody.”
CNBC’s host of “The Exchange,” Kelly Evans, said on Thursday, “These are big passings. Union Pacific alone moves $200 million a day in freight through these lines, or 45% of their cross-border business.”
“Combined overall,” Evans continued, “El Paso and Eagle Pass are nearly $34 billion, or 36% of all cross-border rail traffic in the past year, according to government statistics.”
CBPÂ reopened the bridges on Friday, but only after hundreds of millions of dollars were lost on every single day that they were closed.

According to The Post, “On Monday, US Customs and Border Protection officers encountered more than 12,600 illegal immigrants along the US-Mexico border, setting a single-day record.”
On X, the Bidens’ New Year’s plans are going down like a lead balloon.

“What a turd,” remarked another.
“Stay there!” suggested a third.
