When it rains, it pours: Asian-American voters wake up to reality that ‘radical’ Dems ‘are not their friends’

American-Asian voters have had it with the Democratic Party’s “radical” progressive policies and are “absolutely furious” with the way the nation and its economy are going — a sentiment that could spell serious trouble for the left in the upcoming midterm elections.

As the fastest-growing political bloc in the country, Asian-Americans have historically and overwhelmingly voted Democrat, but as CNN’s Senior Data Reporter Harry Enten reported in mid-June, the Democratic Party “has seen a disproportionate decline in support among this group.”

President Joe Biden’s “net approval margin with Asian adults now is 37 points lower than his margin over Republican Donald Trump among Asian voters in 2020,” Enten stated.

And according to two Asian-American voters, Xi Van Fleet and Elizabeth Heng, Asians have realized that “Democrats are not their friends.”

Appearing on “Fox & Friends Weekend” on Sunday, the duo explained to host Rachel Campos-Duffy why Asians will be “coming out en masse” against the left’s radical agendas.

“First, the Asians realize that Democrats are not their friends because they see their children being discriminated against for elite high school and college admission in the name of equity sponsored by the Democratic Party,” said Van Fleet, a Chinese immigrant.

“Secondly,” she continued, “most of the Asian parents are culturally conservative. They are not on board with the radical gender ideology being taught in school by the Democrats.”

“Thirdly,” she said, “that Asians realize that the Democrat Party will remain silent about the skyrocketing violent crimes against Asians. Why [does] the hashtag ‘Stop Asian hate’ only apply when the perpetrators are white?”

Van Fleet then explained in a chilling comment why the “cancel culture and lawlessness” so prevalent in today’s society is a “personal” issue for Chinese-Americans.

“[T]o Chinese immigrants like me, there’s something even more personal,” she said. “To us, the mass indoctrination, division, cancel culture, and lawlessness that’s happening here is the replay of the Cultural Revolution that we experienced 50 years ago.”

“It destroyed China” Van Fleet said, “and we don’t want it to destroy America.”

And then there’s the dismal state of America’s economy.

“I think Asian-Americans are absolutely furious at what is happening with our economy,” said Heng. “Not just Americans, but I think Americans as a whole.”

“A lot of Asian-Americans are small business owners,” she continued. “During the pandemic, many of them felt that they were attacked and their businesses were being destroyed unnecessarily.”

“Asian-Americans are such a big proponent of freedoms and focusing on the values that this country has given to many of the immigrants that have come here as first, second, third generations,” she explained. “When you see bad policies coming out of California and out of Washington D.C. with President Biden, that is destroying the fundamentals that has allowed their families, their children to succeed.”

According to Enten, “Biden’s net approval rating was +15 points among Asians who said they had voted in the 2020 election. The same group said they had voted for Biden by +38 points. That’s a 23-point dip.”

“Biden’s overall net approval rating was -7 points among those [Asian-Americans] who said they had voted in the 2020 election,” he continued. “He beat Trump by about 3.5 points among this group. This makes for about a 10-point drop.”

“This means,” Enten concluded, “Biden was down more than twice as much among Asians than among voters overall.”

And according to Heng and Van Fleet, those same voters are sure to express their displeasure with Democrats in general and Biden specifically come the midterms.

“They are coming out en masse,” said Heng. “They’re going to vote, and they’re going to help flip this election so that we can bring sanity back to California, back to this country, and get our economy and our livelihoods going again.”

“I think that the Asian voters are highly motivated,” Van Fleet said, “and we will defend our life in America with our vote in November.”
