White House unloads on George Conway over anti-Trump jail ad

A New York congressional race with a heavy emphasis on hating the president earned a response from the White House over one “crazy in the head” candidate.

Last September, New York Rep. Jerry Nadler (D) announced his planned retirement, leading to a crowded field heavily contested with two state assemblymen, President John F. Kennedy’s grandson Jack Schlossberg and George Conway. After the Lincoln Project co-founder vowed to put President Donald Trump “away for good” in his latest ad, the White House suggested his scorn likely “melted his brain.”

In a statement to Fox News Digital, a spokesperson for 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue contended, “Lightweight George Conway is a stupid person’s idea of a smart person. His severe and debilitating disease, known as Trump Derangement syndrome, has melted his brain and made him crazy in the head.”

That earned its own reaction from the ex-husband of Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign manager, Kellyanne Conway, as he posted on X as though Elmer Fudd were talking, “Here’s our TV ad that poor wittle Donnie … didn’t wike and had to compwain to Fox ‘News’ about. Sad! I feel so bad for him.”

As previously reported, Conway’s ad featured the candidate boasting, “I cost you 88 f*cking million dollars, and I’ve only just gotten started. I know you like putting your name on everything from your plane to the Kennedy Center. Sorry about that. But the only thing your name is going to be left on when I’m done with you is the orange jumpsuit you’re going to have to wear in prison.”

He went on to claim that Trump would face yet another impeachment and it would be “the one that’s going to put you away for good, and I’m going to enjoy every minute of that.”

Worth remembering, this is the same Conway who admitted through teary eyes that nearly $1 million that could have gone toward his children was instead spent on President Joe Biden’s re-election campaign, only for the then-incumbent to be ousted by his own party after years of covering for cognitive decline.

While the candidate talked tough ahead of the June 23 primary election to represent the Upper West Side, Upper East Side and Midtown Manhattan in Washington, D.C., reactions on social media criticized the Capitol Hill hopeful for his apparent priorities and, as was the case with many Democrats, focus on Trump instead of running on policies to better the country for constituents.

“You blew up your family, wasted almost $1M trying to beat him, and you’re gonna lose that primary you’re in. Just walk away,” suggested one user on X as another wrote, “If your anti-Trump ad is so devastating, you probably don’t need to promote it like you’re bullying a toddler at snack time.”
