Woman charged with threatening to kill judge overseeing Trump election case and Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee

A Texas woman has been arrested after allegedly making death threats against US District Judge Tanya Chutkan who is overseeing former President Trump’s Jan. 6 election conspiracy case.

Abigail Jo Shry, of Alvin, Texas, also threatened to kill Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D-Texas), all Democrats in D.C., and everyone in the LGBTQ community. The Left is now viciously spinning this deranged woman’s actions as typical of all Trump supporters and that somehow Trump is responsible.

According to an affidavit, she is being charged with transmitting a threat to injure a person via interstate commerce. It’s being alleged she made a threatening call to Chutkan’s chambers in D.C. on Aug. 5. The affidavit was filed in federal court on Aug. 11 and made public Wednesday by Bloomberg Law.

The explosive document was signed by Special Agent Joshua Henry with the Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Protective Service. It contends that Shry began her profane message by saying, “Hey you stupid slave [N-word].” She reportedly proceeded to threaten anyone who is going after Trump.

Lee is running for mayor in Houston and Shry threatened to take her out as well according to the affidavit. She swore to kill “all Democrats in Washington, DC, and all people in the LGBTQ community.”

Shry was explicit in her intentions in the message, “You are in our sights, we want to kill you. … We want to kill Sheila Jackson Lee. … If Trump doesn’t get elected in 2024, we are coming to kill you, so tread lightly, b*tch. … You will be targeted personally, publicly, your family, all of it.”

The call was traced by investigators to a phone that Shry owned. On Aug. 8, Homeland Security special agents visited her home in southeast Texas to question her.

During that tense interview, Shry admitted the phone belonged to her and that she did indeed make the threatening call, according to the affidavit. She reportedly also said that she has no plans to travel to DC or Houston to carry out her threats. The obviously disturbed woman said that if any of her intended targets visited Alvin, they would “need to worry.”

US Magistrate Judge Sam Sheldon of the Southern District of Texas ordered that Shry be detained on Wednesday.

Chutkan is an Obama appointee. She has been the toughest judge handling Jan. 6 cases, handing out the longest sentences she could get away with. According to the Associated Press, she has “consistently taken the hardest line against Jan. 6 defendants of any judge serving on Washington’s federal trial court.”

Trump is no fan of Chutkan and has accused her of being “highly partisan” and “VERY BIASED & UNFAIR!” on social media.

The former president faces charges of conspiracy to defraud the United States, conspiracy to obstruct an official proceeding, obstruction of an attempt to obstruct an official proceeding, and conspiracy against rights, which stem from special counsel Jack Smith’s investigation into 2020 election interference and the Capitol Riot on Jan. 6, 2021.

Trump has pleaded not guilty to all charges and is fighting to have the case moved out of D.C.
