Woman who went viral for ‘not real’ plane outburst speaks out, explains her cryptic statement

America, you can, at last, exhale.

We finally know why that lady on that plane freaked out and claimed: “That motherf***er is not real!”

Yes, Tiffany Gomas — the “TMFINR Lady” who captured hearts and fueled more than a few fantasies with her frantic outburst before fleeing the commercial flight back on July 2nd — has revealed what sparked the viral incident, which she described as “a horrible moment.”

Sadly, the truth is far less spectacular than social media’s tin foil-wrapped speculations.

“You know, the reason I probably haven’t come out yet, ’cause it’s like so cringe – I did not see anything,” Gomas told Barstool Sports’ “Pardon My Take” podcast co-hosts “Big Cat” & “PFT Commenter” on Friday.

“So I got in a bit of an altercation,” the Dallas marketing executive explained. “It spiraled out of control. It was not my best moment. I mean, it was actually a horrible moment. It’s absolutely mortifying.”

Gomas noted that “450 million-plus people have seen” her viral meltdown.

“Thank God people, like, don’t think it’s me, though,” she said. “I’m cool – I’m cool with that. I’m happy they don’t think it’s me.”

As BizPac Review reported, Gomas issued an apology in August that led many to insist she wasn’t the woman from the plane.

“I apologize and take accountability for my actions, they were uncalled for. My very worst moment was captured on video,” she wrote on X. “Although the memes have been amusing, the flipside has been cruel. I’m thankful for my friends and family for supporting me through this.”

“This experience has been life-altering and I hope to do good from it and promote positive mental health,” she continued, adding, “Stay tuned!”

Almost immediately, users on X claimed the woman in the apology video was “not real.”

“Clearly, not the same girl as the girl in the plane….” stated one user at the time. “What is going on?!”

More importantly, the apology didn’t explain what, exactly, she saw that summer day. Big Cat pressed Gomas for more information.

“So, what you’re saying is that clip we all saw, ‘that motherf—– is not real’ is not, like, you thinking that someone is an alien, it was just the tail-end of an argument?” he asked.

“It was an expression of speech,” she replied.

“So, it was just like, you had an argument with some guy on the plane and then as you’re leaving, you’re like, ‘That motherf—– is not real,'” he said.

“Yeah,” she agreed.

The media, she said, “are making me look batsh*t.”

“Given,” she added, “I did. I did look absolutely crazy.”

But when asked what started the argument with the “not real” guy, Gomas seemed, once again, reluctant to share the details. The incident, she said, started because she gave up her aisle seat.

“I was in the middle seat and there was just really bad energy and I don’t want to get into all the details of that,” Gomas said. “It’s just, as you know, it’s ongoing.”
