As the abysmal October jobs report numbers are released, the mainstream media has quickly settled on the same take.
In the entire month of October, a mere 12,000 jobs were created. This is the weakest report since 2020 when COVID-19 was in full swing and America was shutting down to keep everyone inside.
BREAKING: The October jobs numbers are absolutely brutal for Kamala Harris.
Just 12,000 jobs created in the entire month.
46,000 manufacturing jobs were lost

Almost immediately, news outlets adopted a lockstep tone on the shocking report.

JUST IN: The US economy gained only 12,000 jobs in October. That’s the smallest since December 2020. It’s due to some strikes (Boeing, anmong others) and the brutal impact of Hurricanes Milton and Helene.

BREAKING: The U.S. economy added just 12,000 positions in October as disruptions from hurricanes and labor strikes held down job growth.
But the unemployment rate held at 4.1%, a clue the labor market is still solid. https://t.co/UyXH8cSlaf

Social media users noted how unsettling this apparent attempt to provide cover for Vice President Kamala Harris is so she will not be questioned by the media:
The entirety of the media settled immediately and at the same time on the talking point that the huge jobs miss and downward revisions are resulting from a muddied picture created by hurricanes and strikes.
You’re to ask no follow-up questions.

By the way, the excuses of the hurricanes that you’re seeing the media unquestionably parrot?
They come from the government’s claims. They’re just blindly regurgitating the government’s excuses for a bad jobs report.
That’s literally what’s happening. Zero independent…

You can excuse this all you want but this is disastrous to Kamala.

Wow, we’ve never had hurricanes and labor strikes before

12,000 jobs in a country of 330 MM that was flooded with 11MM in the last 3 years. Think people. That’s not a good signal.

Where did you all get this exact talking point from that every other outlet including small time regional network stations are pushing as well?
