New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers justifiably smacked former ESPN and MSNBC broadcaster Keith Olbermann for nastily mocking his Achilles injury, advising him to “get your fifth booster.”
When Olbermann saw the 36-year-old quarterback injure himself, he appeared to almost squeal with glee over it because of Rodgers’ stance against the COVID jab.
“Another #SuddenLisfranc due to failure to vaccinate,” Olbermann wrote on X, mocking Rodgers and adding six syringe emojis for good, hateful measure.
Appearing on ESPN’s “The Pat McAfee Show” show Friday for his first interview since suffering a season-ending injury just four plays into his Jets career, the four-time NFL MVP was reminded of the bitter pettiness of Olbermann.

The four-time MVP just laughed at the vicious comment by Olbermann.
“Get your fifth booster, Keith,” he clapped back.
Newsmax anchor Greg Kelly also floated the theory that Rodgers’ injury was the result of drug use and a lack of Christian faith earlier this week. Rodgers called him a “bum.”

“He ruptured his Achilles tendon?” Kelly asked. “Something like that? I totally saw this coming. I said it out loud, I can prove it to you tomorrow night. I’ll find the tape, it’s out there somewhere.”
“This was gonna be a disaster. He lost the eye of the tiger. A competitive quarterback can’t be all happy and goofy all the time. Something happened to this guy, and I think I know what it was – DRUGS. He got involved in psychedelics,” he asserted. “This Ayahuasca tea – something like that that gives you this ‘oh, I love you bro’ kind of mentality. It’s uh… it’s not good.”
Kelly suggested that Rodgers should try going to church.
“Whatever the hell he’s talking about, Ayahuasca tea is a crummy substitute for God,” he said.

Rodgers has not shied away from being outspoken against COVID-19 vaccine mandates. While attending the US Open to see Novak Djokovic play, he mocked Moderna. In his Instagram story, Rodgers used a goat emoji next to Djokovic and wrote “#NovaxDjokovic.”

Following his painful injury, Rodgers said he is “completely heartbroken” about it but has started the “healing process.”
“Thank you to every person that has reached out, called, texted, DM’d, connected through a friend, etc.,” he wrote on Instagram. “It has meant a ton to me, and I’ll try and get back to all of you soon. I’m completely heartbroken and moving through all of the emotions, but deeply touched and humbled by the support and love. Please keep me in your thoughts and prayers as I begin the healing process today.”

“The night is darkest before the dawn. And I shall rise yet again. Proud of my guys, 1-0,” Rodgers vowed.
Users on X loved Rodgers’ response:

Whenever you start to feel down, a foolproof way to feel better is to remind yourself, “hey, at least I’m not Keith Olbermann.”
