Actress urges women to get men to vote Kamala so we can ‘get to the good stuff’ like ‘joy’

Leftist actress Julia Roberts is facing backlash for urging women and men to tell other men to vote for Vice President Kamala Harris so as to bring “joy” to America.

Roberts issued the call to action while stumping for Harris at a campaign event in Georgia on Wednesday.

“I just hope that all the women here tonight talk to all the men that aren’t here tonight,” she said. “And all you brave men who are here tonight, talk to all the other men who aren’t here tonight.”

“And let’s just get it going. Enough with the fighting. Let’s get to the uniting. Let’s get to the joy. Let’s get to the repair. Let’s get to prices dropping, rents dropping. Let’s get to the good stuff so we can start living our lives to the fullest potential that we have,” she added.

Listen:

Critics were quick to note that Roberts was calling for people to vote for Harris, a woman who’s ALREADY in office.

“Yeah, someone needs to tell Julia Roberts that Kamala Harris is the ACTUAL ACTING VP of the UNITED STATES- for the past 4 years!” one critic tweeted.

“Why did Kamala withhold the good stuff for the last 4 years? Does she enjoy human suffering?” another critic added.

The point was that if prices and rent were going to drop under Harris and potential Vice President Tim Walz, they would have dropped already under President Joe Biden and VP Harris.

Others argued that someone as “rich, entitled, privileged” as Roberts has no business lecturing everyday Americans. A few also questioned the actress’ credibility on political matters.

See some responses below:

As noted by one of her critics, Roberts raised money for President Biden’s candidacy just weeks before he bowed out in disgrace after being whooped in a debate by former President Donald Trump.

“Some of Hollywood’s brightest stars headlined a fundraiser for President Joe Biden that took in a record $30 million-plus for a Democratic candidate,” the Associated Press reported in mid-June.

“George Clooney, Julia Roberts and Barbra Streisand were among those who took the stage at the 7,100-seat Peacock Theater in Los Angeles on Saturday night,” the AP’s reporting continued.

To Roberts’ credit, she did say one good thing during Wednesday’s event in Georgia. She encouraged attendees to “talk to all the people” in their lives, regardless of party affiliation.

“Maybe they don’t understand things quite the way you do,” she said. “Bring them into a conversation. Make sure they’re registered to vote — even if they’re not voting for the person you think they should vote for. It is the United States of America, and we’ve been lacking in the ‘united’ part for so long.”

That was decent …
