Biden reportedly has ‘tough’ call with Netanyahu: ‘Raised his voice and said he wants a deal reached’

Joe Biden may be a lame-duck president but that’s not stopping him from throwing his weight around with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Tensions over Gaza between the White House and Netanyahu were already at a slow rolling boil before Israel took out two terrorist leaders after he visited Washington, D.C. last week and the geriatric Biden reportedly demanded that the Jewish nation’s leader get cracking on a ceasefire, or else.

According to anonymous officials cited by Axios, Biden had a “tough” call with Netanyahu in which he ordered him to “stop escalating tensions in the region and move immediately toward a Gaza hostage and ceasefire deal,” the outlet reported.

Axios also quoted unnamed Israeli officials who said that “Biden raised his voice and said he wants a deal reached within a week to two weeks.”

“Biden told Netanyahu that a hostage and ceasefire deal is the most important thing right now,” the Israeli official said.

“Biden then told Netanyahu the U.S. will help Israel defeat an Iranian attack, but after that he expects no more escalation from the Israeli side and immediate movement toward a hostage deal, the U.S. official said,” according to Axios. “Biden also warned Netanyahu that if he escalates again, he shouldn’t count on the U.S. to bail him out, the U.S. official added.”

“We are at an inflection point … we need to do everything to end the war and reach regional stability, even if the deal is not perfect. Hamas wants the deal right now. It might change,” Biden reportedly told Netanyahu, an indication that he is allowing the terrorist organization to dictate the terms of the end of the war that it started when it massacred over 1,200 Israelis during a barbaric raid on civilian areas last October.

The timeframe is critical because the Democratic National Convention is scheduled to be held on August 19-22 in Chicago where it is anticipated that things could get ugly with the Jew-hating pro-Hamas faction of the Democrat base expected to cause disruptions. Not a good look for the coronation of the party’s new nominee, VP Kamala Harris.

Harris caused a diplomatic uproar after she sat down with Netanyahu – after snubbing his speech to Congress – when she made “disrespectful” remarks insulting him and regurgitating Hamas talking points about dead children.

“What has happened in Gaza over the past nine months is devastating — the images of dead children and desperate, hungry people fleeing for safety, sometimes displaced for the second, third, or fourth time,” she said, suggesting that Israel is responsible for the bloodshed.

“We cannot look away in the face of these tragedies. We cannot allow ourselves to become numb to the suffering and I will not be silent,” Harris added.

Relations with the longtime ally are at a low because Biden and Harris are more concerned about placating angry Muslims in Michigan than the regional stability that will only come after the terrorists have been destroyed.
