Boebert defends her divorce, dismisses rumors husband set his dogs on process server

Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) announced on Tuesday that she has filed for divorce from her husband of 18 years but she is fiercely defending him as the media claims that he threw a tantrum and reportedly set his dogs on the process server presenting him with the papers.

“It is with a heavy weight on my heart that I have filed for divorce from my husband. I am grateful for our years of marriage together and for our beautiful children, all of whom deserve privacy and love as we work through this process,” Boebert said in a statement to the New York Post.

“I’ve always been faithful in my marriage, and I believe strongly in marriage, which makes this announcement that much more difficult. This is truly about irreconcilable differences,” she stated.

The couple has four sons. Boebert’s time in Congress has not been an easy road for the family thanks to constant vicious attacks by the left.

The initial filing included a request by Boebert that she be granted child support and given parental decision-making power for their children, who were listed as sharing an address with her, according to the Colorado Sun.

“I have always spoken highly of my marriage. I believe in marriage. I believe in the power our words hold,” Boebert stated in a lengthy tweet on Wednesday.

“Jayson, a man I spent half of my life with, did not sign up to be in the public limelight, and he certainly did not agree to be falsely accused of things he didn’t do. The stories reported about the process server, and even Jayson running over a mailbox are a complete lie,” she asserted.

“Jayson doesn’t sit around cleaning guns and he certainly doesn’t drink beer out of a glass, just as much as he doesn’t drink Bud Light. Our own home security footage shows he didn’t ‘sick dogs’ on the process server. The dogs were outside when the server pulled up, they never showed aggression toward him, nor did he appear afraid of them,” Boebert wrote.

“Our divorce is a private matter, but the misrepresentations must be addressed. Jayson deserves his privacy, not slanderous stories. Despite what others may say, I welcome your thoughts, and fervent, heartfelt prayers for our family,” the congresswoman concluded.

That didn’t deter the media from running with the story.

The New York Post reported that Jayson Boebert was surprised by his wife’s decision to file for divorce in April according to court documents. The media outlet claimed that he is so angry that he allegedly set his dogs on the process server.

In an affidavit obtained by the Daily Beast this week, a process server contended that Boebert’s husband became “extremely angry” when he realized he was being served with “dissolution of marriage” papers following the official divorce filing on April 25.

“He started yelling and using profanities and told me that I was trespassing and that he was calling the Sheriff’s Office. I told him I was leaving the documents on the chair outside of the door. He closed the door then let the dogs out,” the server claimed.

It’s also alleged that Jayson Boebert was drinking a beer while “cleaning his gun” at the time.

Jayson Boebert texted the Daily Beast, telling the media outlet that he was merely “upset” by the unexpected visit by the processor. He asserted that his dogs were “no threat.”

“I did not know what I was being served for or if it was some crazy left-wing person coming to my house again. I was not drinking and I was not cleaning any gun,” he told the Daily Beast. “The divorce is sad, I did not expect this, I love her with every bit of my heart, she has been my soul mate and she is the mother of my children.”

Boebert’s breakup follows fellow Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene’s divorce who announced she was parting ways with her husband last fall.

“Marriage is a wonderful thing and I’m a firm believer in it. Our society is formed by a husband and wife creating a family to nurture and protect,” Greene told told the New York Post.

The vile hatred against Boebert on Twitter is off the charts, but there were many who were very sad to hear the news of the divorce:
