Buc-ee’s warned not to bother as it expands dangerously close to California

Yehaw! Buckle up, California, because a beloved Southern staple is getting dangerously close.

Much ado is being made over the new Buc-ee’s mega-gas station that is to open in Goodyear, Arizona. The Texas-born superstores that carry everything from prized jerky, brisket, kitschy (but cute!) house décor, clothing, their famous Beaver nuggets, rubber tomahawks (probably), and more have been expanding across the South, and folks can’t get enough.

The Goodyear store will be on a stretch reportedly well-traveled by Californians and is only two hours from the Golden State.

“When is Buc-ees coming to California?” someone asked in the ‘Buc-ees Lovers’ Facebook group that started the California bashing frenzy.

“Never… need sane people first,’ someone else replied.

“California is anti-gas and fossil fuels,’ another added. “Why would a place with 100 fuel pumps come to California?”

“Leave it in the South,” yet another chimed in. “California would not appreciate all the delicious food. Ya’ll like that healthy stuff too much.’

Meanwhile, the people of Arizona are celebrating and “can’t wait.”

The store is reportedly set to open its doors this summer, but Buc-ee’s is just getting started with its expansion, with Florida, Tennessee, and Arkansas reportedly scoring the most new stores.
