During a Vanity Fair interview on Wednesday, fiery conservative Candace Owens once again threw down with moderate Republican Meghan McCain, whom Owens claims “hates my guts,” accusing her of not really caring about Jewish people and branding her as “despicable.”
“I actually may have outwardly said she was fat, I don’t remember,” Owens told the magazine, referring to a previous spat between the two over COVID vaccines and former President Trump. “But the point is that she held on to that anger and then tried to convert it into pretending that she cared about Jewish people.”
“That’s filth,” the conservative asserted. “She didn’t care about a Jewish person. And that’s actually, in my opinion, more despicable. Using something that might mean something to a Jewish person who is genuinely scared or terrified, and you’re pretending to care about this issue because you just hate Candace Owens. It’s like you don’t care. It’s just, ‘I want to see Candace Owens fall.’”
The previous feud between Owens and McCain took place in late 2021. The fight went viral when Owens interviewed Trump.
During the interview, Owens suggested that the jab didn’t work while the former president insisted that the vaccines were effective in “preventing hospitalizations and death.”
After that interview, McCain took the opportunity to praise Trump for “schooling” Owens, which in itself was notable since she infamously detests the former president.
“Trump schooling Candace Owens with facts and logic regarding getting the vaccine is really a sight to behold. Credit where credit is due and I hate the guy,” she truthfully stated.

The fight really exploded in 2022 when Owens defended rapper Kanye West after he had an antisemitic meltdown. She was hammered for doing so from both sides of the political aisle. Even the Daily Wire’s Ben Shapiro hit at her for not condemning West when his commentary on social media turned vehemently antisemitic.
McCain spoke out against West’s antisemitic remarks and thrashed conservatives for obsessing over celebrities who pander to the conservative movement.

“Conservatives always claim to hate celebrity but jump and get excited like a teenage girl at a Harry Styles concert any time any of them show our side attention,” McCain wrote bashing Republicans. “It is pathetic, we are supposed to be anti-celebrity and for the average working men and women – but I guess that went out the window years ago.”
In the Vanity Fair piece, Owens addressed the controversy that her defense of West wrought at her employer, The Daily Wire. The magazine claims that Ben Shapiro refused to promote Owens’ documentary on Black Lives Matter, titled “The Greatest Lie Ever Sold,” which was produced by the Daily Wire. He reportedly balked at promoting it because of her defense of West.
The magazine also asserted that executives at the company urged her to disinvite West from the documentary’s premiere. Owens refused and just days after the premiere, West announced he was buying Parler, the conservative social media platform. Owens’ husband is the CEO of Parler. The deal later fell through.
Shapiro was asked at an event at Texas A&M University about West’s behavior and his relationship with Owens.
“Candace is great, but she initially gave a response that I thought was pretty wrong, both morally and sort of logically,” he told the audience at the time.
I don’t know who Max Blumenthal is, but I do know that you have my number and could have informed me in earnest.
Real relationships should trump Twitter theatre.

“If she had said what Kanye had said she wouldn’t be working at the Daily Wire. She did not say what Kanye said. Instead, she defended her friend initially in a way that I didn’t like. But that is not a fireable offense. Nor do I even have the power of firing at the Daily Wire,” Shapiro stated.
