Republicans have dropped a bombshell report alleging that the CIA and the Biden campaign conspired together and assisted in producing the infamous letter signed by 51 intelligence officials claiming that Hunter Biden’s laptop was Russian disinformation, fast tracking it before the 2020 election.

The explosive report on the complicity of the CIA and the Biden campaign is set to be released by the House Judiciary Committee on Wednesday. It’s titled, “The Hunter Biden Statement: How Senior Intelligence Community Officials and the Biden Campaign Worked to Mislead American Voters.” The report charges that the letter “was a political operation to help elect” Joe Biden as president in November 2022, according to the Daily Mail.

The more than 60-page report includes testimony and communications from and between former intelligence officials.

It reportedly claims that the CIA “may have helped in the effort to solicit signatures for the statement” and accuses former Deputy CIA director and Acting CIA Director Mike Morell and the Biden campaign of working together to get the letter quickly approved.

The letter in question that was signed in 2020 by intelligence officials asserted that Hunter Biden’s laptop had all the “classic earmarks of a Russian information operation.”

Three days after the letter was made public, then-presidential candidate Joe Biden used it as a talking point in the final 2020 presidential debate, taking aim at then-President Donald Trump.

“There are 50 former national intelligence folks who said that what this, he’s accusing me of, is a Russian plan,” Biden declared during the debate.

CIA analyst David Cariens, who is one of the signatories of the letter, “disclosed to the Committees that a CIA employee affiliated with the agency’s Prepublication Classification Review Board (PCRB) informed him of the existence of the statement and asked if he would sign it,” according to the House investigative report. Cariens agreed to do so.

The committees describe Cariens’ testimony as “potentially shocking.”

“The Committees have requested additional material from the CIA, which has ignored the request to date,” the report charges.

Morell later testified before the committees, asserting that “such an action by a CIA employee would be inappropriate.”

Despite Cariens’ claim, Morell is proclaiming that he “did not coordinate with the CIA” and said that had he “known” about Cariens’ allegation, he “would have reacted very negatively to this.”

Morell allegedly sent the final version of the letter on October 19, 2020, to the Prepublication Classification Review for review and called it a “rush job,” pushing hard for its approval.

“Attached is a statement that Marc and I drafted that many former senior and working-level officials from across the IC will sign and then be made public,” the email stated. “We are 100 percent confident it does not contain classified information. Indeed, it specifically says we don’t know what the IC or the FBI knows about this.”

Morell added, “This is a rush job as it needs to get out as soon as possible.”

The report will be published Wednesday by the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence and the House Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government. It also asserts that former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper provided editorial advice to “strengthen the verbiage.”

The report shows that on October 18, emails indicate that Clapper emailed Morell of his intention to sign the letter.

Clapper also said, “I have one editorial suggestion for the letter: I think it would strengthen the verbiage if you say this has all the classic earmarks of a Soviet/Russian information operation rather than the ‘feel’ of a Russian operation.”

Morell told Clapper that his suggestion was accepted and that “It was a good one.”

The Biden campaign “took active measures to discredit the allegations about Hunter Biden by exploiting the national security credentials of former intelligence officials,” the report contends.
