The media’s pro-Palestinian bias once again reared its head with a CNN segment in which anchor Erin Burnett gushed about the amenities that Hamas had available for hostages who were taken during the terror group’s murderous raid on Israel.
With the cable network’s parroting of disinformation about last week’s explosion at a Gaza hospital having already laid bare the left-wing biases of the self-proclaimed “most trusted name in news,” Burnett’s praising of the conditions inside the labyrinthine network of tunnels used by the Islamist militants may as well have come directly from the Hamas public relations department.

On Tuesday’s edition of “CNN This Morning” the crew was discussing the release of 85-year-old Yocheved Lifshitz when Poppy Harlow went to Burnett who was reporting live from Tel Aviv and she was very impressed with the items that the terrorists had on hand for their captives, especially the tampons.
“Some things stand out in their… the mundane necessity, right?” Burnett said. “You’re talking about tunnels. We know these tunnels have ventilation, we know that they’ve been known to have air conditioning, this has all been reporting that we’ve heard from the Israelis over the years.”
But the fact that she’s saying she was held underground for more than two weeks, that there was shampoo, there was antibiotics, there was a guard-per-hostage in the experience she had, that there were medics and paramedics, and obviously she is elderly, the other woman who was released also elderly and had medical needs, and they had the medicine needed and, if not, something similar to replace it,” she continued, “It is pretty stunning.”
“You’ve got to contrast that with what’s happening above the ground, right?” Burnett continued. “There isn’t water, never mind shampoo, they don’t have water — they’re using toilet water — there is no morphine for any kind of amputations, antibiotics? No, right? But Hamas had stockpiled all of that and has all of that underground and that’s what we’re learning from her,” she said, seeming to inadvertently undermine the propaganda by acknowledging that ordinary Gaza residents are being deprived of essentials due to Hamas’s hoarding.
The segment also notes that the abundance of on-hand items in the tunnels shows the preparedness of the terrorists in advance of their savage incursion into Israel where in addition to taking hostages, they slaughtered over 1,300 Israelis, many of them women and children who suffered unspeakable atrocities in the attack.
“Yes, when they say prepared for things…women’s needs ok?” Burnett said. “That means they had tampons and things.”
“That is a level of preparation for what they were going to do, right? And it shows that they were going to take people of all different ages,” she said, adding that having the “feminine hygiene products” available for hostages was “pretty striking.”
Not that the domestic mainstream media hadn’t already established its left-wing biases with the coverage of everything from Trump to Black Lives Matter to COVID, so-called journalists are now shamelessly acting like members of the Hamas fan club.
