Days before returning to the White House, President-elect Donald Trump was gifted with a “first ever” item from Coca-Cola to commemorate his inauguration.
The Chairman and CEO of the Coca-Cola Company, James Quincey, delivered the first-of-its-kind commemorative bottle of Diet Coke to the incoming president on Tuesday. Trump has long been known for his affinity for the drink, even reportedly having a big red button in the Oval Office that he would press to have the drink delivered while he worked.
“Tonight, President Trump received the first ever Presidential Commemorative Inaugural Diet Coke bottle from the Chairman and CEO of Coca-Cola Company, James Quincey,” Trump’s Deputy Director of Communications, Margo Martin, wrote in a social media post.

In the accompanying photo, Quincey could be seen smiling alongside a grinning president-elect who was holding the bottle which featured an image of the White House and the words, “The Inauguration of the President of the United States Donald J. Trump.”
Another photo showed that the commemorative bottle came in a special red box that included a message from the Coca-Cola Company.
“Founded 126 years ago in Atlanta, Georgia, The Coca-Cola Company takes great pride in producing hundreds of brands that people enjoy,” the note read.
“Along with our 60+ independent bottling partners, the Coca-Cola system generates $58+ billion in U.S. economic activity annually and supports more than 860,000 jobs in the United States,” the message continued. “We’re proud to continue our decades-long tradition of celebrating the U.S. presidential inauguration with a commemorative bottle.”
Billionaire Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk shared the photo on X, adding, “The inventor of Diet Coke is a genius.”

Musk, who has been nearly inseparable from Trump since the latter days of the presidential campaign, evidently is also a fan of the diet drink.

Back in 2021, the Coca-Cola Company blasted the “unlawful and violent” events at the U.S. Capitol on January 6.
“With the election results now certified, we have faith in America’s democratic institutions to ensure a peaceful transfer of power and allow the U.S. to move forward together as one nation,” the company said at the time as President Biden was poised to take office.
