Cops ID ‘poopetrator’ who’s on camera defecating in middle of Wichita beauty store

Police in Kansas are thanking the residents of Wichita for helping to identify a woman suspected of defecating in the middle of a beauty store.

The Wichita Police Department announced that the suspect, referred to as the “poopetrator” who was caught in the act by surveillance cameras last week, has been identified.

“Wichita, we need your help with a… unique case,” police had originally posted in a message describing the incident.

“We’re trying to identify the pictured female, who on May 10th entered a Beauty Supply store in the 2200 block of E. 21st Street and defecated in the middle of the aisle,” the Facebook post stated.

“Yes, you read that right.”

Police explained the extent of the damage and explained that, though there was surveillance footage of the woman actually in the act, they would not be sharing video of the “offending fecal assault.”

“The defecation was significant enough that 8 wigs were destroyed as a result, and the business would like to know who the poopetrator is so they can pursue criminal charges,” the department noted.

“The incident was captured on video surveillance, but for the good of all of you we are not posting the footage of the offending fecal assault,” police added.

Perhaps as much as the incident itself sparked a humorous reaction from authorities, the responses to the Facebook post were equally entertaining.

“We’ve already confirmed that this is NOT Amber Heard so please stop calling and emailing that info,” the Wichita Police Department commented at one point.

“Let’s hope you can wipe this case clean and flush away the memories,” one user commented, prompting the department to respond that “this might be one of those cases that sticks with us.”

“I’d like to have a beer with whichever officer wrote this description of the sh*tuation,” another person commented, summing up the sentiments of many.
