Deceased Alabama mayor, preacher posted pictures of kids, women in community in online erotica

The story of former Alabama mayor and preacher Bubba Copeland — who killed himself after his double life as a “transgender curvy girl” by the name of “Brittini Blaire Summerlin” was exposed — just keeps getting seedier.

Since his suicide last week, at least two Smiths Station women have come forward, accusing Copeland of using their names and images online in connection to his disturbingly graphic erotica, WTVM reports.

“I had some people start sending me photos that were posted of me on multiple porn sites, I guess you could say, that also had pictures of Brittini, as well,” Ansley Summerlin told the outlet. “He proceeded to use my first and middle name on these sites, and I believe there are about nine sites now that I have about 5 or 6 photos of my face and my name across the internet.”

Another alleged victim of Copeland’s fetishes works at a Smiths Station hair salon. She asked to remain anonymous but told WTVM that her name was featured without her knowledge in an online story she believes Copeland authored.

The pornographic story turned her stomach.

“It said my first and last name, and it was basically describing the way that I look, and then, intensified, I guess, as a porn star, and it went into very graphic detail,” she said. “I didn’t get past the first page, because I honestly couldn’t stomach it.”

Copeland didn’t just write steamy scenes. He wrote “erotic slasher fiction,” according to Jeff Poor, editor-in-chief of 1819 News, which originally outed the preacher and has published several more. It was after the outlet exposed him that Copeland killed himself.

Poor told Breitbart there’s more to the salacious story.

“There’s a whole lot more here,” Poor said. “This was clearly a troubled man, and it’s unfortunate that he ended his life. But it wasn’t for any of the reasons or any of the stated narrative of the mainstream media.”

“He didn’t just write erotic fiction,” Poor, who is also a Breitbart News contributor, said. “He wrote erotic slasher fiction where he fantasized about murdering a woman in the local community and used her real name.”

“He shared a meme of a local brother and sister, one of whom is a minor, with the caption: ‘Take the shots, get implants, become the w**re,'” DailyMail.com reports. He “also shared transgender and heterosexual pornography with captions such as: ‘Do what you have to do to get f****d,’ and ‘Once you’ve been mounted properly there is no going back.'”

Poor says 1819 News initially went back and forth on whether to report on Copeland’s life as “Brittini” at all.

Ultimately, it was his role as a church leader that swayed Poor.

“What kind of got me was his role as the lead pastor of the First Baptist Church of Phenix City. And I know very little about this church. I don’t know what their church politics or any of that’s like. But I am a member of a church,” he told Breitbart. “We contribute money to this church. We trust our two-year-old with this church’s ministries. And if this was going on in my church, if this were the face of my church that was doing this, I think I would have a right to know. So that put it over the edge.”

Lee County Sheriff Jay Jones said evidence provided by Copeland’s alleged victims would be presented to Lee County District Attorney Jessica Ventiere and reviewed by a grand jury, 1819 News reports.

“We’re going through our standard process in that investigation,” Jones said. “We will gather all the facts available and evidence that we have, and that will be presented to the district attorney, and a Lee County grand jury will review all the details of this investigation at a future date.”
