Scandal struck a Virginia legislative race where a Democratic mother of two was reportedly found in explicit videos soliciting payments to fulfill requests.
“I need, like, more tokens before I let him do that.”
The balance in a close race may have shifted after an anonymous “Republican operative” tipped off The Washington Post to archived live streams of 40-year-old Susanna Gibson, a nurse practitioner running for the Virginia House of Delegates, and her attorney husband, John David Gibson, that had been on the platform Chaturbate.
According to the newspaper, the Democratic candidate “can be seen in the videos soliciting ‘tips’ for performing specific acts — in apparent violation of Chaturbate’s terms and conditions, which say: ‘Requesting or demanding specific acts for tips may result in a ban from the Platform for all parties involved.'”
In one such video, said to have been archived on the site Recurbate on Sept. 30, 2022, after Gibson had entered the race in July, she reportedly was heard telling viewers, “I need, like, more tokens before I let him do that.”
“One token, no. More. Raising money for a good cause,” she added after one of more than 5,700 followers had evidently contributed.
Other clips began circulating online featuring her content with her husband under the banner of “HotWifeExperience.”

In other videos reviewed by The Daily Mail, the candidate was quoted as saying, “I’ll let you f**k me in the a** doggy style in a private room if someone wants to pay. That’s the deal.”
“Yeah I f**k random strangers if you’re hot,” she reportedly said at another point and revealed that the couple were in an open relationship. “I’ve had three in a day actually. Don’t tell my husband he was the third.”
In a statement provided to the Post, Gibson referred to the exposure of the videos as “an illegal invasion of my privacy designed to humiliate me and my family.”
“It won’t intimidate me and it won’t silence me. My political opponents and their Republican allies have proven they’re willing to commit a sex crime to attack me and my family because there’s no line they won’t cross to silence women when they speak up,” she added.
Her attorney, Daniel P. Watkins, asserted Virginia’s revenge porn law made it a Class 1 misdemeanor if nude or sexual images or distributed “maliciously” with “intent to coerce, harass, or intimidate,” and that his client was a victim.
“We are working closely with state and federal law enforcement,” the lawyer told the newspaper.
Gibson’s Republican opponent, retired home builder David Owen, said in his own statement, “Me and my team found out about this story today like everyone else. I’m sure this is a difficult time for Susanna and her family, and I’m remaining focused on my campaign.”
Meanwhile, as the Democratic candidate has made “reproductive freedom” a focus of her campaign, she had latched onto a report of a video of Owen where he could be heard admitting to being “pro-life.”
“For us to think that it will never get to the point — with the current makeup we have now — of outlawing abortion, I don’t think we’ll get there,” the Republican could be heard in a video reported by the Richmond Times-Dispatch. “And personally, I am pro-life, and we need to start saving some of the unborn children.”
“I have served our community as a Nurse Practitioner for over a decade. My position has always been clear: politicians have no place in the exam room,” Gibson reacted on X. “My opponent? He was caught talking about outlawing abortion. They’ll go as far as we let them.”
