Dem Socialist NYC city council member condemns Muslim organizers of pro-Israel event to Hell

A controversial Democratic Socialist New York City council member condemned Muslim organizers of a pro-Israel protest at Gracie Mansion to the pits of Hell in a vitriolic social media post.

Councilwoman Shahana Hanif, who has a history of expressing hostile sentiment for the Jewish state, reacted to an X post showing a pair of organizers for Tuesday’s “Protest Zohran Mamdani” event, which featured Muslim speakers, by calling for Allah to send them to “Jahannam,” which is the Islamic term for Hell.

“May Allah condemn you to Jahannam,” wrote the far-left Brooklyn Democrat.

The protest was presented by EndJewHatred, an organization calling for “Justice for the Jewish people” and bills itself as “united by our vision of a world without Jew-hatred.”

“Zohran Mamdani has publicly engaged with Jewish communities and does not appear to personally hate Jews. His approach to Israel, Zionism, and anti-Israel activism has been deeply flawed and dangerous,” the group stated. “Words matter — especially from people in positions of power.”

“Freedom of speech is one of the core values of the United States, and every American has the right to criticize governments and political movements. But when public officials or political leaders repeatedly promote rhetoric that targets Zionism while dismissing the concerns of Jewish communities, the consequences can extend far beyond political debate,” the website reads.

Hanif’s sick post drew a strong response from X users who rained fire down on the hateful councilwoman.

One of the organizers whom Hanif called for Allah to cast into the lake of fire was American Muslim & Multifaith Women’s Empowerment Council president Anila Ali.

In a Tuesday Fox News Digital interview, Ali said that the New York City mayor’s politics are “alienating moderate Muslims and damaging relations between Muslim and Jewish communities in New York,” according to the outlet.

“With Mamdani in office, we feel our religion is now hijacked once again and is being used by these Islamists,” she said.

“It’s not just that Mamdani criticizes Israel and policy; a lot of Jewish people criticize Israel’s policies,” Ali added. “It’s that he targets the Jewish people and the one Jewish state in the world.”

Ali responded to Hanif’s post with a smoking hot rebuke.

“Sister, I did not know God had outsourced Judgment Day to you. I will leave heaven and hell to Allah, who is Most Just and Most Merciful. My duty on earth is simple: to stand against hate, defend the innocent, and speak for truth — including when the target is the Jewish people,” she wrote. “Condemning antisemitism does not make me less Muslim. It makes me accountable before God. Not you!”
