Every indication suggests that after a mysterious respite in 2020, Americans are returning to the traditional practice of voting with their pocketbooks in the midterm elections and this is terrible news for Democrats.
With soaring fuel prices and 40-year high inflation being a byproduct of the Biden administration, rocking family budgets and forcing many Americans to choose between paying essential bills and putting food on the table, Democrats want to talk about Nazis AND defend the media.
At least, that’s what was seen on Friday from House Majority Whip Rep. James Clyburn, D-S.C., yet another member of the octogenarian club leading the Democratic Party, the 82-year-old lawmaker who has been in Washington for nearly 30 years does not want to talk inflation because he knows his party has no answers, so he’s falling in line with what appears to be the Democratic calling card heading into next Tuesday, which is to scare the living hell out of their base in hopes of avoiding the coming shellacking.
“This country is on track to repeat what happened in Germany in the early 1930s [if Republicans win], ” Clyburn told Fox News. “I said this in 2018 and caught a lot of hell from a lot of people for having said it, but it was true then and it is true now — this country is on track to repeat what happened in Germany when it was the greatest democracy going — elected a chancellor who then co-opted the media,” Clyburn told Fox News Digital on Thursday. “This past president called the press the enemy of the people. That is a bunch of crap. And that is what’s going on in this country.”

Clyburn proves that elitist Democrats exist in a D.C. bubble and cannot talk kitchen table issues anymore because they don’t relate to the common man anymore. No further proof of this is needed than Clyburn’s reply to inflation, essentially telling Fox News that the price of gas or the cost of a loaf of bread is not a top priority for Americans.
“I think that people should be voting in their own self-interest. And their self-interest is much more than what you may or may not be paying for gas or a loaf of bread,” he said — this being an obvious reference to their fabricated talking point that “democracy is at risk,” whatever that means.
“The question is,” Clyburn added, “are we going to have a society that everyone can participate in? Or are we going to have an autocracy?”
While Americans are stressed about the economy and soaring crime resulting from the criminal-friendly policies of Democratic prosecutors, his party is talking about a protest that got out of hand 2 years ago and the right to kill unborn babies with restriction — when they take a break from trashing Trump and “ultra-MAGA Republicans.”
Interestingly, while Clyburn moans about the “demonization” of Nancy Pelosi being a factor in the attack on her husband by a mentally ill homeless illegal immigrant drug addict, he doesn’t see Biden’s frequent vilification of “ultra-MAGA Republicans” as equivalent, according to Fox News.

I need specific examples of what he is fearing. Law and order, affordable everything, lower taxes, less govt? Those sound like good things

He’s my Rep. I’ve been calling his office for MONTHS complaining about Dems using this rhetoric and they kept saying,
“We agree it’s bad but he’s not doing it, don’t know what to say.”
Now he’s doing it too.
He’s a giant POS.

Apparently they all got the same Memo this morning, and they’re all repeating the exact same message! ♂️

He’s actually describing what his own party is doing.
