“Woke” Twitter employees have reportedly been complaining about free-thinking billionaire investor Elon Musk’s admittance to the company’s board of directors, and so to assuage their concerns, Twitter will reportedly be holding a town hall with them.
The town hall will be an “ask me anything” (AMA) featuring Musk himself, according to a company-wide email reviewed by The Washington Post.
“We say that Twitter is what’s happening and what people are talking about right now. Often, we [at] Twitter are what’s happening and what people are talking about. That has certainly been the case this week,” the email, written by Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal, reportedly reads.
“Following our board announcement, many of you have had different types of questions about Elon Musk, and I want to welcome you to ask those questions to him,” the email reportedly continues.
Word of the email and announced AMA come amid a flurry of reports about “woke” employees crying over concerns that Musk, a free-speech advocate, may threaten their censorious ways.
for employees who are considering resigning from twitter in protest because a new board member who wants the platform to better uphold free speech joined:
do it. you should resign. you’re literally the problem. then cry about it, on twitter, which will allow you to do so.

for all the ackshually types – no, free speech doesn’t involve breaking the law or the rules, your take is dumb, i defend your right to say dumb things but i defend my right to remove my ability to see your dumbass words

“News of Tesla Chief Executive Elon Musk taking a board seat at Twitter has some Twitter employees panicking over the future of the social media firm’s ability to moderate content, company insiders [said],” Reuters reported Thursday.
“With Musk on the board, the employees said his views on moderation could weaken years-long efforts to make Twitter a place of healthy discourse, and might allow trolling and mob attacks to flourish.”
To be clear, “trolling and mob attacks” still flourish on Twitter. The only real difference, critics say, is that those with the “wrong opinion” have been suspended or banned, whereas those with the “right opinion” have been allowed to continue unmolested.
Critics, including elected Republicans, say the reason for this discrepancy is politics, and thus, Twitter’s “woke” employees are upset because they may lose the power to silence dissenting political/ideological views with Musk now a board member:

I hear Twitter employees are panicking about Elon Musk.
What are they afraid of? Might get harder to censor and silence conservatives?
— Rep. Darrell Issa (@repdarrellissa) April 7, 2022
So people are upset cus they won’t be able to censure people who don’t think like them.

You misspelled “censor”

And indeed, messages shared between Twitter employees reportedly show them complaining that he doesn’t share their so-called “values.”
“We know that he has caused harm to workers, the trans community, women, and others with less power in the world. How are we going to reconcile this decision with our values? Does innovation trump humanity?” one message reviewed by the Post reads.
The message was shared on Slack, a business messaging platform similar to other platforms like Google Hangouts, AOL Instant Messenger, WhatsApp.
“Quick question: If an employee tweeted some of the things Elon tweets, they’d likely be the subject [of an HR investigation]. Are board members held to the same standard?” another message reads.
The message writer had likely been referencing non-“woke,” anti-establishment, politically incorrect tweets like the ones seen below:
Another reason reported mortality rate is overstated is that dying *with* covid is not same as dying *from* covid. Media keeps reporting former, not latter.

Musk has over the years described himself as “half Democrat, half Republican” and “somewhere in the middle, socially liberal and fiscally conservative.”
In recent years, however, he’s swung more toward the right — at least rhetorically — likely because, like he hinted at in one of the tweets above, the radicalism of the left is causing them to lose “the middle.”
While this radicalism has manifested itself in many forms, one of the more notable ones vis-a-vis the ongoing turmoil at Twitter is the belief that offensive/dissenting thoughts are a form of violence.
This would therefore make Musk a “violent” man in the eyes of the “woke.” Except that thanks to recent events, this “violent” man is now one of their bosses.
Everyone at Twitter now works for and for the benefit of Elon Musk
All of the woke employees are now Elon Musk’s underlings and work toward his whims
Enjoy
