Leftist actress Eva Longoria has fled the United States in the wake of President-elect Donald Trump’s victory.
The reason why she moved her family from California to Mexico and Spain (she evidently owns a home in both locations) appears to be twofold.
On one hand, it’s known that she despises President-elect Trump and spent the 2024 presidential election season stumping for Vice President Kamala Harris.
Thankful for President @JoeBiden ‘s years of service and commend his brave decision to pass the torch to a new nominee, in the name of democracy and selfless leadership. I believe in @KamalaHarris and believe in our collective effort to organize and win this! pic.twitter.com/iwuwq0e0vV

“The shocking part is not that he won,” she told Marie Claire magazine in a recent interview. “It’s that a convicted criminal who spews so much hate could hold the highest office. If he keeps his promises, it’s going to be a scary place.”
But on the other hand, it’s known that she was no longer much of a fan of California’s LEFTIST policies.
“I had my whole adult life here, but even before [the pandemic], it was changing,” she told Marie Claire. “The vibe was different. And then COVID happened, and it pushed it over the edge. Whether it’s the homelessness or the taxes, not that I want to s–t on California — it just feels like this chapter in my life is done now.”
The irony is that California’s policies are backed by Harris, whom Longoria enthusiastically supported and stumped for during the election.
So @EvaLongoria moved her family to Mexico and Spain because of high taxes and homelessness caused by Democrat policies in California yet she spent the past few months trying to get Kamala Harris elected to nationalize these same policies.

During her Marie Claire interview, Longoria went on to admit that she’s “privileged” to be able to relocate to another country.
“I get to escape and go somewhere,” she said. “Most Americans aren’t so lucky. They’re going to be stuck in this dystopian country, and my anxiety and sadness is for them.”
Responding to her departure, critics slammed her for running away from a self-created problem.
Look:
Why would you support a California politician who contributed to ruining the state you fled from?

I didn’t know she’d done that b/c I don’t care about her personal life.. or acting life actually. But, that irritates me that she left for the reasons she advocated to instill. So irrational! Or hypocritical.

All Democrat voters have “battered wife syndrome”. No matter how bad their policies are and no matter how bad the Democrat politicians them, they still refuse to leave the plantation because voting Republican is worse somehow.

The Marxists are like locusts. They ruin an area, then they flee to another area and ruin it too. Eternally ignorant of the damage they’ve caused, they continue to advocate for the same failed policies to virtue signal to others how enlightened they are.

Longoria has been a victim of Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS) since day one.
“I’ve never been depressed in my life,” she recalled while discussing her response to the 2016 presidential election. “It was like, ‘Does my vote really matter? Am I really making a difference?'”
“I was so untethered to the core of what I believe because I truly believed in my soul that the best person wins. And then that happened, and I was like, ‘Oh, wait. The best person doesn’t win,'” she added.
Actually, the best person did win in 2016…
In fairness to Longoria, she did at least try to warn Democrats of what lay in store for them this election cycle.
“Well before pollsters were tweaking their election models, Longoria was sounding the alarm to the party elite that Latinos were increasingly sour on the economy and susceptible to conservative appeals,” Marie Claire notes.
“We’ve been screaming from the highest rooftop that the Latino vote is not something to take for granted,” she said in her own words. “You have to earn it and win it every election cycle.”
