The left is trying to whip up a fresh frenzy against Home Depot, calling for boycotts after reports that the home improvement company dared to donate $1 million to Republicans.
Home Depot joined an impressive who’s who of companies, such as General Motors, Boeing, AT&T, Comcast and United Parcel Service (UPS), to make the list of those donating to the “Sedition Caucus,” those who refused to certify President Joe Biden’s election victory on January 6, 2021. This term was bestowed upon the lawmakers and committees by Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW) which released a list of corporations making donations to the “caucus.”
“Congratulations to @HomeDepot, which has officially donated $1,000,000 to support the members of Congress who voted not to certify the results of the 2020 election,” CREW posted to X on Wednesday. “Bankrolling the Sedition Caucus is a choice, and Home Depot has doubled down!”

Naturally, the rabid lefties jumped on the bandwagon.
We must boycott them all.
Home Depot sucks anyhow, so it won’t be hard. https://t.co/ULQSgssMsN— Persistant Resistor (@JimChoromanski) November 29, 2023

Harvard University law professor emeritus Laurence Tribe said he would be boycotting “for sure” while journalist Ed Krassenstein was “Just trying to figure out the rules of the game.”
So is it OK for democrats to boycott Home Depot now or would that be cancel culture?

But saner voices on the social media platform drummed up a fitting response to the calls for a boycott.
The left wants us to boycott Home Depot because the founder is a Trump guy, I say we double our spending at Home Depot and boycott Disney instead. #Trump2024 #BoycottHomeDepot pic.twitter.com/gjUYNVMgzo

I’m fairly confident the people caterwauling “boycott Home Depot” have never seen the inside of a Home Depot before.

It’s funny to see liberals threatening to boycott Home Depot over the CEO supporting Donald Trump. Liberals don’t shop at Home Depot because they can’t do anything themselves. They just pay someone else to do it for them. And that person shops at Home Depot.

How is the left going to boycott Home Depot? That would require them to actually be productive members of society and know how to work with their hands.

I find it funny all the people posting to boycott Home Depot are the people who wouldn’t go to Home Depot, or even know how to use a hammer in the first place. pic.twitter.com/R6d2tefsjj
