FBI tracks down, arrests NJ agitator who threatened to kill ICE officer AND his family

An update out of New Jersey following a rioter’s death threats to an ICE officer and his “whole f*cking family” boiled down to two words from acting Attorney General Todd Blanche.

Per the standard operating procedure of the left seen played out again and again, violent antagonists have persisted for more than a week with harassment and rioting outside the Delaney Hall U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility in Newark, New Jersey, while local and state law enforcement assistance was, at best, kept to a minimum.

Wednesday night, footage emerged of a man — said to be one Nicholas Scelfo — allegedly threatening to murder an ICE officer and his family, which had Blanche promising “we will find him.” As of Friday night, an “FAFO” update found the acting top cop reporting, “Told you.”

Blanche’s X post went on, “@FBI just arrested the man who threatened to kill ICE officers and their families. FAFO,” as he shared his appearance from the day prior on Fox News’ “The Will Cain Show,” where he’d reacted to a clip courtesy of independent journalist Nick Sortor.

“I’ll kill your whole f*cking family! Your whole f*cking family is dead! Your children, your wife, all dead! I have your face, motherf*cker! You’re dead! Dead!” raved the man in the video, seen wearing safety googles and what appeared to be a cross around his neck.

Reacting to the clip, Blanche told Cain, “We see his face, and I promise you, we will find him. And when we find him, we will arrest him because it is a crime not only to threaten law enforcement but, not surprisingly, to threaten their family as well.”

While actively working to garner additional details from the Justice Department, Fox News national correspondent Alexis McAdams reported, “DOJ sources tell me the FBI has arrested Nicholas Scelfo, the man police say was caught on camera threatening to kill an ICE agent and the agent’s family outside Newark’s Delaney Hall detention facility this week. Sources say Scelfo is facing federal felony charges.”

Early Friday, Department of Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin had provided details on the continued rioting outside Delaney Hall — under the pretense of protesting allegedly poor conditions for detainees inside the facility — and stated, “On the evening of May 28th, approximately 100 anti-ICE rioters gathered around the Delaney Hall ICE facility. Rioters bit, kicked, and punched law enforcement officers. Governor Sherrill refused to allow state police to assist our officers. Assaulting and obstructing @ICEgov law enforcement is a crime and felony. Throughout the night, nine rioters were arrested. Anyone who assaults law enforcement will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Law and order will prevail.”

The secretary also shared the damage done to an ICE officer’s arm as one of the rioters was being charged for allegedly kicking and biting the man. Additionally, it was reported that six rioters had been arrested the previous night, just days after New Jersey Gov. Mikie Sherrill (D) joined other leftist leaders in signing legislation aimed at barring law enforcement from wearing face coverings to protect their identities from the violent mobs.

In response to Scelfo’s arrest, Mullin offered a reminder about the increase in threats faced by federal law enforcement, along with gratitude for steps at accountability: “Thank you to the @FBI for arresting a rioter who threatened to kill an @ICEgov law enforcement officer and his family outside Delaney Hall. Our officers are facing an 8,000% increase in death threats against them as they put their lives on the line to arrest the worst of the worst. @POTUS and I will always stand with our law enforcement.”
