Filthy rich rocker to join AOC, Bernie on ridiculous ‘Fighting Oligarchy’ tour

Democratic disconnect continued as Congress’ socialist dream team rounded up aged rocker Neil Young and others to stump for “Fighting Oligarchy.”

As the Democratic Party sank to a historic low in approval, Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders (I) and New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D) continued touring the nation, fearmongering about President Donald Trump and Elon Musk. While each of them was called out for their own hypocrisy in connection with the rallies, the tour stirred that pot further as musical guests for the Los Angeles event included the wealthy Young, Joan Baez, and Maggie Rogers.

Slated to take the stage Saturday at Gloria Molina Grand Park in the city still reeling from the devastating wildfires that many considered exacerbated by years of failing leftist policies, fellow scheduled musician Jeff Rosenstock posted his excitement at joining the lawmakers, Baez, and Young in what he considered “A TRUE DREAM BLUNT ROTATION.”

He went on to add, “All weed jokes aside, it has been easy to feel powerless and alone since the election, and seeing the massive crowds of people who are tired of this bullsh*t attending these events (cornball alert) has filled my heart with hope.”

According to a report from Variety, additional musical performances were set to include Indigo de Souza, the Red Pears and Raise Gospel Choir in addition to speeches from Democratic Reps. Pramila Jayapal of Washington and Ro Khanna of California.

Young faced considerable criticism in March 2024 when, after little more than two years of virtue-signaling protest, he returned his catalog to Spotify, having failed to move the needle in protest against Joe Rogan’s freedom of speech.

“They can have Rogan or Young, not both,” the musician asserted in 2022 while griping about the podcaster’s comments about COVID.

In justifying his return, Young contended, “My decision comes as music services Apple and Amazon have started serving the same disinformation podcast features I had opposed at Spotify,” while Rogan joked, “Congratulations, Neil…Great to know you’ve got some ethics.”

Both Sanders and Ocasio-Cortez faced their own criticisms in relation to the tour, with the New York congresswoman recently getting slammed for traveling first class on her way to “fight” oligarchy.

“Nothing says, ‘Power to the people’ like ignoring voters looking to say hello and reclining in first class while tweeting about income equality,” Tracy, the woman responsible for snapping a shot of the representative’s JFK to Las Vegas accommodations, told the New York Post. “AOC is fighting the system one first-class mimosa at a time.”

Meanwhile, Sanders was ridiculed in February for resorting to his schtick of “once again asking for … financial support” from his supporters to cover his hotel and travel expenses as he enjoyed traveling around the country with multiple stops upcoming in California as well as Idaho, Montana, and Utah.

Along with spite for the combined wealth set to be on display at the rally, users reacted to the lack of relevance of the performers that were likely to expand the disconnect with younger voters.
