The Blacks for Trump group was on hand Thursday when former President Donald Trump was arraigned for the third time in a Washington, D.C., federal courthouse to show their support for the former president.
Trump pleaded not guilty after special counsel Jack Smith hit the former president with four federal charges for his actions on Jan. 6, 2021, and for allegedly plotting to overturn the 2020 election, including conspiracy to defraud the United States; conspiracy to obstruct an official proceeding; obstruction of and attempt to obstruct an official proceeding; and conspiracy against rights.
Maurice Symonette, who is also known as Maurice Woodside and “Michael the Black Man,” was there with a group of Blacks for Trump supporters and blasted Smith.
“I’m here to show Jack Smith that he’s a punk. I’m here to let him know he’s going to jail for treason,” he said. “Him and Biden and Obama and all the other suckers that are going against Trump for no reason.”

In another interview, the group leader not only defended Trump but also pointed his finger at President Joe Biden.
“He’s not guilty of anything that Jack Smith’s talking about, ‘cuz everything Jack Smith is charging him with, Biden did it times three hundred,” he exclaimed.

Twitter influencer Nick Sortor shared photos of the Trump supporters outside the courthouse before the arraignment.
“Blacks for Trump have been VERY vocal in their support for President Trump. They’re ADAMANT about letting the world know that Biden’s DOJ is TARGETING President Trump simply because he’s a political enemy,” he tweeted.

On that note, while President Biden tries to distance himself from the political persecution of the chief Republican presidential candidate, he suggested as much a year ago.
“We have to demonstrate that he will not take power — if he does run — by making sure he, under the legitimate efforts of the Constitution, does not become the next president again,” the president told a reporter.
