Former AG Bill Barr likens Trump to a ‘defiant 9-year-old’ and predicts J6 indictment

It could be that ex-Attorney General Bill Barr didn’t take kindly to being called a “gutless pig” and he tore into former President Donald J. Trump on Sunday, likening his one-time boss to a “defiant 9-year-old kid” while predicting that Special Counsel Jack Smith is only getting warmed up.

Continuing his barnstorming of the media where he has been a highly sought-after guest to dish up his expert take, Barr was like an angry bull roaring out of the chute and he gave it to Trump with both horns on Sunday’s edition of  “Face the Nation” on CBS.

A week after he aroused Trump’s ire by saying that he’s “toast” during a Fox News appearance, Barr was back with a vengeance in his interview with Robert Costa, tearing into the 2024 Republican party frontrunner who if the Biden regime’s Justice Department has its way, will be taken out well short of the election.

“He is a consummate narcissist and he constantly engages in reckless conduct that that puts his political followers at risk and the conservative and Republican agenda at risk,” he said.

“Would he put the country at risk if he was in the White House again?” Costa asked.

“He will always put his own interests and gratifying his own ego ahead of everything else, including the country’s interests. There’s no question about it,” Barr replied. “This is a perfect example of that. He’s like a 9-year-old — a defiant 9-year-old kid who’s always pushing the glass toward the edge of the table, defying his parents to stop him from doing it. It’s a means of self-assertion and exerting his dominance over other people.”

“And he’s a very petty individual who will always put his interests ahead of the country’s, his personal gratification of his ego. But our country can’t be a therapy session for a troubled man like this,” he said.

“This is not a circumstance where he’s the victim or this is government overreach,” Barr also said during the interview, suggesting that Trump is the one at fault for his legal proglems. “He provoked this whole problem himself. Yes, he’s been the victim of unfair witch hunts in the past. But that doesn’t obviate the fact that he’s also a fundamentally flawed person who engages in reckless conduct. And that leads to situations, calamitous situations like this, which are very destructive and hurt any political cause he’s associated with.”

When asked whether Trump was also being targeted by the DOJ over the so-called “insurrection,” an indictment that would land him in a D.C. court in front of a hostile judge and jury, Barr suggested that it’s a done deal.

“I’m actually starting to think they will pull the trigger on that, and I would expect it to be this summer,” he predicted.

Last week, Trump exploded on the “gutless pig” after his former attorney general’s “Fox News Sunday” interview.

“Virtually everyone is saying that the Indictment is about Election Interference & should not have been brought, except Bill Barr, a ‘disgruntled former employee’ & lazy Attorney General who was weak & totally ineffective. He doesn’t mean what he’s saying, it’s just MISINFORMATION.Barr’s doing it because he hates “TRUMP” for firing him. He was deathly afraid of the Radical Left when they said they would Impeach him. He knows the Indictment is Bull…. Turn off FoxNews when that ‘Gutless Pig’ is on!” Trump wrote on Truth Social.

As of Monday morning, Trump had yet to fire off another blast against Barr.
