Former professional wrestler Tyrus addressed the reactions he set off with an “open letter” to his wife, taking to social media to tell those who had a problem with his post to “grow the f**k up or mind your business.”
The Fox News contributor, whose real name is George Murdoch, spoke of his wife Ingrid in a “moment of high praise and recognition and thanking her for getting through a difficult time in my life” in the message on X.
He clarified that his previous posts thanking Ingrid Rinck, whom he married in January 2024, were not AI and that his account wasn’t hacked.
My wife @ingridrmurdoch and I built this life together she’s full time mom and take care of me, my business’s and still is smoking hot! The 50-year-old addressed his weight loss and “new mindset” after having been difficult to live with as he battled “low points,” noting that there had to be a “moment of atonement” for putting his loved ones through the difficult journey.
“Writing an open letter to my wife apologizing for what she had to go through to help me get to where I am is something that I think every man should do if you hurt somebody,” he said.
Earlier this week, Tyrus posted his open letter on Instagram, sharing it on X with the caption, “I lied neglected and degraded the woman I love I’m sorry.”

“This is an open letter regarding these last three posts … I met my goal to lose, we get down to 321lbs … but I didn’t accomplish anything,” he wrote.
“I ignored the real dead weight, the pain and embarrassment I caused my family, my children and worst of all, my best friend, my wife … if it’s to far gone to fix it’s.. its because of me and my poor choices … my wife did everything she could to keep me breathing literally more than anyone else would,” the Fox News co-host continued, raising some questions about whether his marriage was in jeopardy.
In previous Instagram posts, he described his painful journey of getting back to feeling better.
“I was A 427lbs fat slob.. and blamed my wife for it,” he wrote in another post, adding, “my wife was still there trying to help me … and she just got humiliated for it … talked to dismissively.”

His brutal self-check was praised by social media followers, and he addressed the need to own up in the follow-up post.
“I called myself out on my own B.S. I think more of us should do that,” he said. “But me and my family are strong, we’re good, I’m a lucky man.”
“I thank you for the support,” he told fans. “And those who had negative things to say, hey, maybe you should look in the mirror.”
“Anybody who has a problem with me writing a public letter to my wife, grow the f**k up or mind your business. Either way, I don’t care. The point is, you cannot lead unless you lead by example.”
