One governor vows to personally drive ‘more razor wire’ to Texas if Biden blocks Abbott

Republican South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem is so supportive of Gov. Greg Abbott’s bold efforts to handle the border crisis, she’s pledged to personally load up a pickup with razor wire and drive it to Texas if President Biden or federal forces attempt to retake control of Shelby Park in Eagle Pass.

“Governor Abbott has done the exact right thing,” Noem, who is rumored to be on Donald Trump’s list of potential running mates, told Fox News’s host of “The Story with Martha MacCallum” on Thursday. “I’ll drive him more razor wire from South Dakota if I have to for him to do his job.”

As BizPac Review reported, dozens of Republican governors have stated their support for Abbott after the Supreme Court ruled that federal agents can remove the razor wire that the Texas National Guard erected to slow the never-ending stream of invading illegal migrants.

“What people forget is that governors are commanders-in-chief,” Noem said. “We’re responsible for the men and women of our National Guard. It’s a heavy responsibility that weighs on our shoulders, and so we never engage our National Guard soldiers and those men and women unless it’s incredibly important.”

Though she’s “a long ways away” from the border with Mexico, Noem said South Dakota’s National Guard has been sent to support the Texas Guard “on multiple deployments.”

“Over two years ago, I declared it a war at the southern border,” she stated.

Not even the agents under Biden’s control support what his administration is doing, according to Noem.

“Our Border Patrol agents do not support what President Biden is doing. Our ICE people on the ground do not support what President Biden is doing. Democrats in this country do not support what President Biden is doing at the southern border,” she said. “They disagree with him fundamentally.”

“[Biden] is so out of touch,” she stated. “He is remaking this country.”

“We will be Europe within a year or two if we allow President Biden to continue this invasion of our country,” Noem continued. “Over six million people have come here illegally. It is time to stand our ground, and we’ll be down there standing shoulder-to-shoulder with Gov. Abbott.”

Both Trump and Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. have expressed their support for Abbott.

“Texas is right,” Kennedy posted on X. “Biden’s failure to secure the border leaves states no choice but to take matters into their own hands.”

“As President, I will end this humanitarian crisis once and for all,” he pledged. “I will secure the border and destroy the business model of the drug cartels. A country without borders is not a country at all.”

On Truth Social, Trump accused Biden of “aiding and abetting a massive Invasion of millions of Illegal Migrants into the United States.”

“Instead of fighting to protect our Country from this onslaught, Biden is, unbelievably, fighting to tie the hands of Governor Abbott and the State of Texas, so that the Invasion continues unchecked,” the presumptive GOP nominee wrote.  “In the face of this National Security, Public Safety, and Public Heath Catastrophe, Texas has rightly invoked the Invasion Clause of the Constitution, and must be given full support to repel the Invasion.”

“We encourage all willing States to deploy their guards to Texas to prevent the entry of Illegals, and to remove them back across the Border,” Trump continued. “All Americans should support the commonsense measures by Texas authorities to protect the Safety, Security, and Sovereignty of Texas, and of the American people.”

“When I am President, on Day One, instead of fighting Texas, I will work hand in hand with Governor Abbott and other Border States to Stop the Invasion, Seal the Border, and Rapidly Begin the Largest Domestic Deportation Operation in History,” he promised. “Those Biden has let in should not get comfortable because they will be going home.”

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis cited James Madison and “Federalist No. 46” and explained that the Constitution acknowledges that there are “situations where federal encroachment can be mitigated by state action.”

Texas, he said, has “every right to fortify the border vis a vis an invasion.”

In all, 25 Republican governors have signed a letter  “in solidarity with our fellow Governor, Greg Abbott, and the State of Texas in utilizing every tool and strategy, including razor wire fences, to secure the border.”

“We do it in part because the Biden Administration is refusing to enforce immigration laws already on the books and is illegally allowing mass parole across America of migrants who entered our country illegally,” the coalition of governors stated.

“The inhumanity of the Biden policies is destroying America,” Noem, who was among those governors to sign the statement, told MacCallum. “I’ve never in my life thought I could see a country change as fast as it has. America has. So it is time that we stand shoulder to shoulder and we stand up now to make sure that we protect the future of this country.”
