Fox News host Harris Faulkner shared her “number one” reason to be thankful on Thanksgiving after expectations for a mundane update from work led her to exclaim on a call, “Oh my gosh!”
A week prior to the annual holiday once proclaimed by President Abraham Lincoln as a “Day of Thanksgiving and Prayer,” the host of “Outnumbered” released her latest book, “Faith Still Moves Mountains: Miraculous Stories of the Healing Power of Prayer.” The aptly-timed title from publisher Broadside Books is described as a “collection of powerful, true-life stores of resilience, healing, rescue, and protection,” and on Wednesday, Faulkner received a call informing her that the book had just become a New York Times bestseller.
Fox News Senior Vice President of Event Marketing Michael Tammero had reached out to the anchor ahead of the holiday asking her to record their conversation. “I have some fantastic news on this Thanksgiving Eve,” he explained when the connection was established. “It’s an honor to be talking to a new number-one New York Times bestselling author.”

Faulkner’s expression rapidly changed from attentive to shocked before she covered her mouth and, as tears welled up in her eyes, she said, “Oh my gosh! That is not what I thought you were going to tell me!”
In the video posted across social media, she went on to explain, “I mean we’ve been talking about so much. I thought did he come to Arizona for a book signing, I mean, does he have more book markers for the prayer circle.”
For its first week on the bestseller list, Faulkner’s book beat celebrity chef Ina Garten’s “Go-To Dinners” which had been on the list for four weeks to claim the top spot in the “Advice, How-To & Miscellaneous” category of nonfiction.
“We need reminders of God’s power now more than ever,” the book’s blurb states before concluding, “Faith Still Moves Mountains reminds us that God’s light always shines through the darkness. Through these testimonies, we learn prayer isn’t just a ritual, it’s a vital spiritual strategy in a world that wants us to give up the fight.”
Having previously authored “Breaking News: God Has A Plan — An Anchorwoman’s Journey Through Faith” and “9 Rules of Engagement: A Military Brat’s Guide to Life and Success,” Faulkner received congratulations from Tammero to which she exclaimed yet again, “Oh my goodness!”

Dedicated to her husband, Tony, and their two daughters, Faulkner wrote in the book, “thank you for teaching me every day that life’s adventures require my unconditional love for the Lord and bravery to live out His purpose for me.”
After sharing her candid reaction online, the author who had almost 90 percent five-star reviews on Amazon, received an outpouring of congratulations and positivity from social media for her noteworthy accomplishment.
Congratulations to you. I haven’t buy your book yet but now that is number one, I will for sure. Happy Thanksgiving Day.

That is absolutely wonderful Harris. Congratulations! I just got my book today. I lost my mom, who was my very best friend 3 weeks ago. I have been so lost. I really needed this book. I started with the prayer section. Thank you Harris.❤️
