Harvard’s interim president is a white guy, leftist meltdown will be nuclear

Harvard University President Claudine Gay resigned Tuesday amid the building pressure that began when she downplayed antisemitism while testifying before Congress and grew substantially amid serious allegations of plagiarism. Gay was in the role for a short six months and the fact that she is a black woman sent the racial grievance mob in America into a frenzy.

Adding to their outrage over the resignation is the fact that she is being replaced by a white guy — temporarily, at least.

The Harvard Corporation confirmed that the university’s longtime provost, physician and economist Alan Garber, will replace Gay while the search for a new president begins, according to the New York Post.

“We are fortunate to have someone of Alan’s broad and deep experience, incisive judgment, collaborative style, and extraordinary institutional knowledge to carry forward key priorities and to guide the university through this interim period,” the organization said in an email to affiliates.

The search will begin “in due course” and “will include broad engagement and consultation with the Harvard community in the time ahead.”

In the eyes of the radical left, the best-qualified person for the job should be set aside to ensure that another black woman is named president of the prestigious Ivy League school — given how cowardly academia is, that is a strong possibility.

Gay’s departure stings all the more considering she was Harvard’s first black leader and that she served the shortest tenure in the school’s history.

Garber, who was “raised by a Jewish family,” according to the Harvard Crimson, said back in November that he “regretted” the school’s initial statement on the Israel-Hamas war that failed to denounce Hamas following its attack on Israel.

“Our goal is to ensure that our community is safe, secure, and feels well supported — and that first statement did not succeed in that regard,” he told the school paper.

Calling the antisemitism on campus the most “serious” crisis he has seen since joining Harvard, Garber said, “In my view, none has been as serious for the University as this one — and I’m even including Covid in that.”

“The community was immediately divided, and that is not true of every crisis that we face,” he said of the Israel-Hamas conflict. “It is a combustible situation, and one in which many people are grieving.”

The race hustlers have been out in force since Gay yielded to the growing repertoire of fraud against her — keep in mind, she will retain her nearly $900,000 salary, according to the Post.

“President Gay’s resignation is about more than a person or a single incident. This is an attack on every Black woman in this country who’s put a crack in the glass ceiling,” Al Sharpton said in a statement to CNN Tuesday.

Even the Harvard Corporation is on board with crying racism.
