He can’t stop making Kamala Harris president! Biden gives himself Covid, makes VP president again

President Joe Biden continued Tuesday with his peculiar habit of anointing Vice President Kamala Harris as America’s chief executive.

Biden was speaking at an Equal Pay Day celebration for Women’s history month when he made yet another gaffe while announcing an unexpected change in the proceedings.

“There’s been a little change in the arrangement of who’s on the stage because of the first lady’s husband contracting COVID, but look at this room and what you see…” Biden said.

At this point, first lady Jill Biden, who was also in attendance, interrupted her husband to essentially remind him that HE is the first lady’s husband.

“Pardon me?” Biden said, and the room began to laugh. “That’s right. She’s fine. It’s me that’s not together … The second lady — the first gentleman — how about that?”

But even there, he blundered the correction by saying the first lady was fine because his initial comment was not about “the first lady’s husband.”

Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff, 57, tested positive for COVID-19 on Tuesday, while Harris was clear, according to a White House statement

“Out of an abundance of caution, the Vice President will not participate in tonight’s event. The Vice President tested negative for COVID-19 today and will continue to test,” Harris’ deputy press secretary Sabrina Singh said in a statement.

Harris was supposed to participate in the Equal Pay event.

“One person I’m particularly proud of… is Kamala Harris. As I said, Kamala chose not to take a chance since her husband contracted COVID, although he’s feeling very well I’m told,” Biden said. “He’s fine but out of an abundance of caution she decided she wasn’t going to join us today but let’s send her our love because she’s something else.”

Politico White House correspondent Jonathan Lemire shared a photo of Vice President Harris standing next to Biden earlier during a signing ceremony, reporting that while she tested negative Harris was “in the window when that could change.”
