Hollywood churns out another racist movie that calls white people the ‘most dangerous animal on the planet’

The trailer for a new “comedy” that appears to demonize white people has sparked a strong reaction from social media users to what can only be described as Hollywood’s institutionalized racism.

In the preview of the film titled “The American Society of Magical Negroes,” one of the black characters proclaims that white people are “the most dangerous animal on the planet,” a line that if the races were reversed would have triggered a national uproar and calls for boycotts of the studio, actor, and director.

The offensive dialogue comes when the movie’s protagonist, Aren who is played by actor Justice Smith and his tutor Roger, played by David Alan Grier explain the mission of the titular society while standing in front of a picture of a shark.

“What’s the most dangerous animal on the planet?” Roger asks to which Aren replies “Sharks.”

He is corrected by Grier’s character who tells him “White people. When they feel uncomfortable. White people feeling uncomfortable precedes a lot of bad stuff for us. That’s why we fight white discomfort every day, because the happier they are, the safer we are.”

The movie, which is directed by Kobi Libii, also stars An-Li Bogan, Drew Tarver, Michaela Watkins, Aisha Hinds, Tim Baltz, Rupert Friend and Nicole Byer and is set to hit theatres next spring.

“The American Society of Magical Negroes is a fresh, satirical comedy about a young man, Aren, who is recruited into a secret society of magical Black people who dedicate their lives to a cause of utmost importance: making white people’s lives easier,” Focus Features describes the film on its website.

Not that anti-white hate is anything new from Hollywood which has churned out propaganda to support the ideological “woke” cultural revolution that is being waged in America, but the racist message has become increasingly brazen in the runup to the 2024 presidential election, a pivotal moment in the nation’s history.

“The American Society of Magical Negroes” trailer comes as a new Netflix movie that was co-produced by Barack and Michelle Obama also features a line inciteful of hate and distrust toward whites.

“If the world falls apart, trust should not be doled out easily to anyone, especially white people,” says one of the black characters in the disaster flick “Leave the World Behind” which is a big hit on the streaming video service.

X users sounded off with their early reviews of the film which could have limited box office appeal due to its racial focus.

In an interview with Black Entertainment Television, the director said: “It all sort of starts with the Magical Negro trope. I’m sure you’re familiar with it, but just to define it on my own terms, I think of the Magical Negro as a kind of stock black character; a black best friend character who is only focused on helping the white hero. They don’t really have an inner life, and they don’t have their own things going on. They’re just relentlessly focused on helping this white character grow in most cases, and I always thought that was so funny.

“For whatever reason, the idea that there’s a white writer who pictures the thing we do in the morning is getting up and trying to help them. I found it so absurd and incorrect and funny that I wanted to blow it out and criticize it, but also use it as a way to talk about other stuff. What it’s like to grow up as a Black person in this culture and some of the wild and fantastical things we have to do to survive. To me, that’s the origin story of the film,” Libii explained, seemingly oblivious to the offensive nature of such a movie in a time of government and corporate-sanctioned anti-white racism.
