Hunter Biden’s ex-lovers may prove to be his worst nightmare amid reports that two former girlfriends have testified before the federal grand jury investigating President Biden’s son.
Given the widespread media disinterest — after all, his last name is not Trump — you’d be excused if you had forgotten that the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Delaware was investigating the younger Biden’s “tax affairs,” as Hunter characterized it back in December when he acknowledges the probe.
“I take this matter very seriously but I am confident that a professional and objective review of these matters will demonstrate that I handled my affairs legally and appropriately, including with the benefit of professional tax advisors,” he pooh-poohed at the time.
David Weiss, the U.S. attorney for the District of Delaware, is overseeing the investigation after the Senate Homeland Security Committee and Senate Finance Committee “conducted an investigation in 2020 into Hunter’s foreign business dealings during his father’s tenure as vice president and discovered that there were at least four large transactions that banks flagged as ‘potential criminal activity’ to the Treasury Department’s Financial Crimes Enforcement Network, Fox News reported.
As the network noted, One suspicious transactions involved a $100,000 payment from a subsidiary of CEFC China Energy to Hunter’s law firm, Owasco, in 2017. The subsidiary was owned at the time by Chinese billionaire Ye Jianming.
Zoe Kestan, a lingerie entrepreneur and former Hunter Biden love interest, testified before the grand jury in Delaware for five hours Tuesday, detailing Hunter’s lavish spending habits at luxury hotels in New York and California, the New York Post reported.
Lunden Roberts, Hunter’s baby mama, also appeared to have testified before the grand jury on Tuesday. The Daily Mail reported that Roberts was spotted leaving the Wilmington courthouse.
Roberts, a former stripper, had a baby girl with Hunter in 2018, and had to chase the deadbeat dad in court to get child support after Hunter “claimed in 2019 that he was too poor to pay child support despite living in a $12,000-per-month Hollywood rental and driving a Porsche,” the British newspaper noted.
The paternity suit was settled in March 2020, with Hunter Biden reportedly agreeing to pay an undisclosed monthly sum in child support and health insurance premiums.
Fittingly, given what is known about Hunter, it appears that he impregnated Roberts shortly before meeting Kestan but never told her about the child born out of wedlock.
“Scandal-plagued Hunter claimed in his 2021 memoir that he had ‘no recollection’ of Roberts, nor the ‘encounter’ that led to the birth of their daughter, Navy Joan, in 2018,” the Daily Mail reported. “And he has never mentioned the little girl’s name in public despite paying her mom a reported $2.5 million settlement after a court-ordered DNA test proved he was the dad.”
The tabloid revealed last year that in addition to the affair, that Hunter hired Roberts to work at Rosemont Seneca, his Washington, D.C.-based investment firm that now at the center of the federal inquiry.
Kestan and Hunter were looking at pricey houses in the Los Angeles area to lease together in 2018, to include pricey Malibu properties, according to emails reviewed by Fox News.
They stayed at several luxury hotels in New York City and California, including the Mercer, the Four Seasons, SIXTY SoHo and Soho Grand hotels, the network reported, citing the Post to add that the couple “also shacked up at the NoMad hotel, Hollywood Roosevelt, Jeremy West Hollywood, and the Chateau Marmont hotel in Los Angeles — staying for a month at the L.A. chateau.”
Citing a source, the Post reported that Kestan “recalled a month-long stay at LA’s celebrity-friendly
Chateau Marmont was where former “Saturday Night Live” star John Belushi fatally overdosed in 1982, and Hunter Biden said in his memoir that this is where he “learned how to cook crack” before being “blacklisted” at the property because of his drug use.
Keep in mind, the Ukrainian energy company Burisma Holdings Ltd was paying Hunter Biden $83,333 a month to sit on its board, which amounts to $1 million a year, beginning in May 2014, when dad was vice president of the United States. The windfall was cut off shortly after Joe Biden left office.
When the crack-smoking first son split with Kestan in July 2018, emails obtained by Fox News showed that she tried to be cordial with Hunter, but that soon fell apart — which may only add to Hunter’s problems today.
“I have so much to learn from this experience, Hunter, and I can’t lose what we have as friends over spouts of jealousy and our (individual) inabilities to be in a relationship of sorts at this current moment in time,” Kestan wrote.
“I have so much respect for you, and I want you to know how much my heart cares about you – not as someone or something to be used,” she continued. “I need to clear the air.”
Friction would soon follow as Hunter appears to be ignoring Kestan, who wrote, “U never called when u said u could. I’ve sent countless emails and texts.”
“Zoe I swear to god ive gotten no response from you texted 20 times that aurally needed my medication before i left for my friends funeral… wtf,” Hunter replied, according to Fox News.
