‘I’m begging!’ Megyn Kelly pleads for help to stop trans athlete ‘farce’ once and for all

Conservative journalist Megyn Kelly thinks she knows a way to finally put an end to the absurd practice of allowing biological males to compete in competitive sports against biological women, and she’s literally begging someone to give it a whirl.

The inspiration behind Kelly’s plan came from a New York Post article about Hannah, a women’s cycling champion who gave up the sport she loves after losing to a transgender rider. Just days after her difficult decision, Tiffany Thomas, another biological man, took the top spot in a New York women’s race, declaring “she” felt like a “superhero.”

“I am begging – begging – any college male tennis player to put an end to this farce by declaring yourself trans & playing/easily winning women’s pro tennis tournaments,” Kelly tweeted on Thursday. “All it will take is one biological male to win women’s Wimbledon, French Open, etc for this disgrace to end.”

It’s an interesting point.

One could argue that Kelly is suggesting the reason female swimmers and cyclists are seeing their careers destroyed by male athletes is that those sports don’t carry the kind of celebrity clout and potential for big bucks to draw any serious pushback against the trans movement.

Tens of millions of people worldwide tune into BBC TV to catch the Wimbledon matches, even if they normally don’t follow tennis.

Such an obvious disparity in strength would be impossible to hide, and fans of the sport would likely revolt.

But when you’re an American cyclist competing in races that only devotees of the sport have heard of, it’s easy to be bullied and pushed to the side.

“I have decided to end my cycling career,” Arensman announced last Wednesday. “At my last race at the recent UCI Cyclocross National Championships in the elite women’s category, I came in 4th place, flanked on either side by male riders awarded 3rd and 5th places.”

“My sister and family sobbed as they watched a man finish in front of me, having witnessed several physical interactions with him throughout the race,” her statement read.

The Independent Council on Women’s Sports (ICONS) stated in a thread that “67 athletes & supporters in our network filed an amicus brief to #SCOTUS in support of WV’s law protecting women’s sports.”

“This is the 1st case to come before the Supreme Court addressing today’s threat to women’s athletics,” the organization reported.

“Women & girls deserve safe & fair competition at every age & every level,” ICONS wrote. “We will continue to bring their voices to the forefront in the battle for justice for female athletes.”

In her brief, Arensman noted that she may have lost out on a single race.

“It is difficult for me to think about the very real possibility I was overlooked for an international selection on the US team at Cyclocross Worlds in February 2023 because of a male competitor,” she wrote.

The discouraged cyclists said that it “has become increasingly discouraging to train as hard as I do only to have to lose to a man with the unfair advantage of an androgenized body that intrinsically gives him an obvious advantage over me, no matter how hard I train.”

“I feel for young girls learning to compete and who are growing up in a day when they no longer have a fair chance at being the new record holders and champions in cycling,” Arensman continued. “I have felt deeply angered, disappointed, overlooked, and humiliated that the rule makers of women’s sports do not feel it is necessary to protect women’s sports to ensure fair competition for women anymore.”
