In the midst of a legal battle with the Lone Star State and with his Homeland Security secretary facing impeachment, President Joe Biden piled on the gaslighting Tuesday when speaking with the press on the White House South Lawn. Stopping on his way to Marine One to depart for a fundraising trip to Palm Beach, Florida, Biden ranted, “I’ve done all I can do.”
The response came as a reporter questioned the president over his actions regarding the U.S.-Mexico border asking, Have you done everything you can do with executive authority? Or is there more you could do absent-”
“I’ve done all I can do,” asserted Biden. “Just give me the power. I’ve asked from the very day I got into office. Give me the Border Patrol. Give me the people — give me the people, the judges. Give me the people who can stop this and make it work right.”
With estimates of illegal entries into the country exceeding more than 8 million since the current administration began, House Speaker Mike Johnson continued his vocal opposition to the president’s take on handling the crisis and shared video of the executive’s remarks with the caption, “That is simply untrue. He’s either lying or misinformed.”
“Here are just a few of the authorities at his disposal — if only he would use them,” continued the speaker listing, Presidential Authority to Restrict Entry 212(f), Expedited Removal 235(b)(1), Discretionary Detention Authority 236(a) and Mandatory Detention 236(c).
“No more excuses,” added Johnson.
President Biden said “I’ve done all I can do” with executive authority to secure the border. That is simply untrue. He’s either lying or misinformed.

The Louisiana Republican had previously slammed the reported Senate border deal that hinged American national sovereignty on funding for Ukraine while drawing attention to “ample authority” that Biden already has, and has been made aware of.
“As my letter stated,” the congressman stated Saturday, “President Biden can begin to secure the border by ending catch-and-release, ceasing exploitation of parole authority, reinstating the Remain in Mexico program, expanding the use of expedited removal authority, and renewing construction of the border wall. The President must start by using the broad legal authority he already possesses to reclaim our nation’s sovereignty and end the mass release of illegal aliens into our country.”
“According to reports, the Senate’s pending proposal would expressly allow as many as 150,000 illegal crossings each month (1.8 million per year) before any new ‘shutdown’ authority could be used,” continued Johnson. “At that point, America will have already been surrendered.”
My statement on President Biden’s endorsement of the Senate border deal:
President Biden falsely claimed yesterday he needs Congress to pass a new law to allow him to close the southern border, but he knows that is untrue.

Politicized congressional sparring over how to address the out of control crisis during an election year wasn’t the only response to Biden’s claims as thousands of Americans were en route to the border to partake in a peaceful demonstration “in honor of our Constitutional Rights to call on our government to Take Action and SECURE OUR BORDERS!”
Many took to social media to express their outrage over the administration that had repeatedly claimed the border “is closed” after the president himself had urged during his 2020 election campaign we “immediately surge the border all those people seeking asylum.”
He left out part of that statement. He meant to say “I’ve done all (the damage) I can do” at the border!

Joe Biden, announces Border Is Broken After He Broke It
Says He Can Fix It When He Hasn’t
Asks for Authority Which He Already Has
