Justin Trudeau blasted for prioritizing the feelings of Muslims in the wake of Hamas’ attack on Israel

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is facing backlash for prioritizing the feelings of Muslims in the wake of Hamas’ terror attack on Israel.

On Friday, almost two weeks out from the attack that left over 1,300 innocent Israeli men, women, and children dead, he visited a mosque — not a synagogue — to show solidarity with the Muslim community amid Israel’s retaliatory strikes on Gaza.

The irony is he was booed by some of the Muslims at the mosque for not showing enough solidarity and calling for a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas.

Watch:

“Shame on you. How many more Palestinian children need to be slaughtered? How many more before you call for a ceasefire?” a woman can be seen in the video above pestering the prime minister.

A day after the visit to the mosque, he posted tweets saying “we’re here for you” to the Muslim community.

“As members of the Palestinian, Arab, and Black Muslim communities gathered for prayer yesterday, I wanted them to know this: We know you’re worried and hurting. We’re here for you. We will not stop advocating for civilians to be protected and for international law to be upheld,” he wrote.

“We are stronger when we stand together for peace – and we will continue to do that. Canada continues to stand firmly for a two-state solution, and for the right of Palestinians and Israelis to live side by side in peace and security,” he added.

Look:

The tweets were ratioed by a veritable army of angry Israel supporters who were outright offended by him catering to the Muslim community after Hamas’ attack.

“Over 1,400+ Israeli civilians were slaughtered by Hamas terrorists so of course Trudeau runs to his voting block in the Palestinian, Arab, and Black Muslim communities. How many Arabs & black muslims were slaughtered by Hamas, WTF is wrong with him?” one critic tweeted.

“Worried? Hurting? 1400 Jews were massacred on Oct. 7. Not Arabs. Not black Muslims. Not Palestinians. In fact, it was the Palestinians who did the massacring. This just disgusts me. #Israel_under_attack,” another critic tweeted.

It seems, for all intents and purposes, that Trudeau is despised by both sides — those who support the Israelis, and those who support the Palestinians.

The Israeli supporters feel like he doesn’t care about them given his outreach to Muslims, and the Palestinian supporters feel like he doesn’t care about them because of his refusal to bluntly and unequivocally call for a ceasefire.

Hilariously enough, even members of his own government have issues with him.

According to the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, over 30 members of Parliament have written a letter to him demanding he advocate for a ceasefire.

“Canada has long been a voice for peace. The longer this conflict goes on, the more innocent civilians will pay with their lives. We demand that Canada join the growing international call for an immediate ceasefire. Canada must act before more innocent children are killed,” the letter reads.

“We’re in a situation where without a ceasefire I don’t see how international law can be respected,” Green Party leader Elizabeth May said in a CBC interview. “But that doesn’t mean we’re telling Israel it can’t defend itself. Far from it.”

She added that she’s OK with Canada assisting Israel with wiping out Hamas but isn’t OK with all the civilian lives that are being lost in the interim.
