Vice President Kamala Harris is just itching to take over if President Biden should become incapacitated or worse, asserting that she’s more than ready to do so.

During an interview with Associated Press reporter Chris Megerian, Harris made it clear that an integral part of her job as vice president is the fact that she “may have to take over” if Biden can no longer perform his duties.
At the beginning of the interview, she attempted to deflect a question on Biden’s age by alluding to his legislative accomplishments. Biden is currently 80 years old and is already the oldest ever to serve as president.
“Questions about the president’s age often go hand in hand with questions about how you would step into the role if necessary. Do you feel prepared for that possibility? Has serving as vice president prepared you for that job?” Megerian asked Harris.
“Yes,” the 58-year-old vice president pointedly replied while in Jakarta, Indonesia.
It seems like there’s already a plan behind her words… her being President… I don’t even want to imagine that.♀️

She was filling in for Biden at the annual Association of Southeast Asian Nations summit.
“And how would you describe that process?” the reporter asked her.
“Well, first of all, let’s — I’m answering your hypothetical, but Joe Biden is going to be fine. So that is not going to come to fruition,” Harris asserted.
“But let us also understand that every vice president — every vice president — understands that when they take the oath, that they must be very clear about the responsibility they may have to take over the job of being president. I am no different,” she contended.

There have only been eight presidents who have died while in office. Four of them were assassinated and four died from natural causes.
Biden’s age has been a hot topic as he has announced that he is running for reelection as president in 2024 which means he would be 86 at the end of his second term. Many on both sides of the political aisle question his cognitive and physical health. Despite it usually being taboo to discuss the potential death of a president, it’s an issue that Americans and Biden’s colleagues are deeply concerned about considering Harris would step in to take over.
Asked if Biden will be able to serve until he is 86, Harris replied, “Yes, I see him every day.”
“A substantial amount of time we spend together is in the Oval Office where I see how his ability to understand issues and weave through complex issues in a way that no one else can, to make smart and important decisions on behalf of the American people, have played out,” she explained.
“I will say to you that I think the American people ultimately want to know that their president delivers, and Joe Biden delivers,” Harris added.
The vice president is viewed by many as incompetent, radically leftist, and generally unlikable. Her approval numbers are even worse than Biden’s according to the RealClearPolitics average of recent polls. They found that 40.7% of the public approves of her work, versus 41.7% who approve of Biden.
Even Biden is rumored to be unsatisfied with Harris despite singing her praises in public.
“A point of tension in their relationship is that I don’t think that the president sees her as somebody who takes anything off of his plate” due to a “fear of messing up,” a former White House official told Reuters in an interview in May.

Author Chris Whipple, who is an expert on West Wing staffing, wrote in his book “The Fight of His Life,” that Biden considered Harris a “work in progress.”
According to Whipple, Biden told a friend in 2021 that he was “annoyed” over Harris’ husband, Douglas Emhoff complaining about assignments given to his wife. That included handling illegal immigration and pushing for a federal voting rights law.
“Biden was annoyed,” Whipple’s book stated. “He hadn’t asked Harris to do anything he hadn’t done as vice president — and she’d begged him for the voting rights assignment.”
Harris was ostensibly tapped as vice president because she was female and a person of color. She originally ran against Biden, slamming him for opposing federally mandated desegregation by busing students to different school districts.
“That little girl was me!” Harris declared during a 2019 debate.
Kamala Harris said she’s ready to step into the role of president if Biden is unwell.
Perhaps she should step up and do the job she has been given — Border Czar!

First Lady Jill Biden reportedly was enraged over the exchange and declared that Harris should “go f***” herself, according to the New York Post.
But in the end, identity politics won out and Biden evidently chose Harris not for her political acumen, but because she ticked off all the right diversity boxes.
As 2024 approaches, a younger, leaner, more cognizant Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-Calif.) is reportedly waiting in the wings for his chance to claim the presidency for himself. If something happens to Biden before the election, Democrats may dump Harris in favor of Newsom for a long, long list of reasons.
In the end, it comes down to whether any of them could beat former President Trump in an honest election. Polls currently show that Trump would beat Harris.
