Vice President Kamala Harris has evidently asked to be kept out of the spotlight on special assignments because she doesn’t want the public scrutiny or the heated criticism.
A new tell-all book titled, “The Last Politician: Inside Joe Biden’s White House and the Struggle for America’s Future,” written by journalist Franklin Foer, claims that she obsesses over her public image. It also alleges that she frustrates the heck out of her aides with her outlandish demands and has never been able to quite find her footing in assignments given to her, according to Radar Online.
The book contends that White House staff have been annoyed with the vice president’s over-sensitivity to criticism. She is reportedly hyper-aware of negative news stories or complaints about her management style which probably means she is upset all the time.
According to Radar Online, one source claims she has “rabbit ears” when it comes to criticism.

“She let the criticism guide her,” Foer wrote in his book. He also noted that she has allegedly angered President Biden’s Chief of Staff Ron Klain by “making life excessively difficult by imposing all sorts of constraints on herself.”
Foer wrote that, to “Klain’s ear, she was creating too many rules, and they made it hard for her to find her footing.”
Harris “asked to be placed in charge of relations with Scandinavia — away from the spotlight.” But when “she finally asked for a meaty assignment” on voting rights, “Klain initially balked — hardly the vote of confidence she needed,” Foer wrote.
“But she was being guided by staff whom she didn’t know and didn’t especially trust,” he continued. “And given the circumstances, Biden didn’t feel especially obligated to coach her along.”

It was reportedly Harris’ paranoia that led the way for her.
“Whenever there was a hint of criticism of her — either in the West Wing or in the press — she seemed instantly aware of it,” he asserted. “Rather than brushing it aside, she wanted to know who was speaking ill of her and what they were saying.”
The book bluntly asserts that Harris allegedly asked for assignments that were not high-profile, leading to a very unstable and confusing position as vice president.
A prime example of that is her role as Biden’s “border czar” which she failed to commit to. At other times she allegedly shunned the spotlight altogether. According to the book, this has led to a great deal of frustration within the Biden administration.
When you’re Kamala, criticism is misogyny and racism.

“According to the book, Harris has demanded to be distanced from ‘women’s issues or anything to do with race’ while simultaneously wanting her office to be majority female with a black woman as Chief of Staff. This contradictory stance has allegedly rubbed some of the administration the wrong way,” Radar Online reported.
Regardless of the incompetency of Harris and the confusion surrounding her, it is widely believed that Biden will keep Harris on his ticket for the 2024 reelection bid. Biden’s own problems have only been exacerbated by Harris’ lack of political competence.
“This dissension has led her to be ‘guided by staff whom she didn’t know and didn’t especially trust,’ and has u-turned on her image and amount of responsibility she wants numerous times,” an excerpt from the book charges.
“Foer also paints a picture of Harris as a neglected figure in the administration. Unelected Biden aides like Ron Klain, Mike Donilon, and Steve Ricchetti are portrayed as more central to the White House’s functioning than the VP herself,” Radar Online noted.
Rabbit ears and shit for brains.

“In the past, VPs have played essential roles, such as key negotiators and behind-the-scenes figures. However, Foer suggested that President Biden’s promise to return American politics to normal may have contributed to the more traditional, less critical role of the vice presidency in the current administration,” the media outlet concluded.
Foer also revealingly wrote that while Biden “helped plug the gaps” in former President Obama’s support, the current president “didn’t need Harris in the same way Obama needed Biden.”
